Here is our latest two week sketch to get you creatin’ –

Bendy card? I’ve seen them, never tried to make one! Until today!

I looked into it. Actually, rather easy!

Here is my take on one –

Rather adorable I’d say!

I’ll attempt an explanation…..To create this, I started with a base of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. I added a piece of the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper (it is on sale!).

I took a piece of Basic White, 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, scoring along the 4 1/4 side at 1/2″. I rotated the card stock and cut it at 2 1/2″. I cut each strip top using the Basic Border Dies creating the cloud lines.

I cut little tabs in each cloud strip opposite the score lines. I made a slit in the card base after the Designer Series paper was adhered. I made a second slit in the first cloud line for the second cloud strip. As a tip, I recommend going over the cloud strip with a bone folder to soften the card stock and make the curve easier to look rounded.

The sentiment just fits this card!!! It is from Sunny Sentiments –

Of course, it was stamped using the Stamparatus!

This card just makes me smile!!!!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

We have a new two week challenge today –

Optional Theme : Ribbon & Lace

How about a great card to show off some lovely pattern paper –

This is soo pretty, wouldn’t you agree? This paper is the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper! It is soo lovely!

This great sentiment is from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, which also has a nice set of coordinating dies. I used the dies to create the dotted scalloped strip along the top. One of my favorites in the set!

The Double Oval Punch came in handy to create the striking sentiment.

These all come together to create a wonderful card of encouragement!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our newest 2 week challenge –

Optional Theme : Gardening

Perfect to show off this sweet Welcoming Window Bundle –

Sweet, right?

I started by embossing a panel using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I cut a scallop circle from the Give It A Whirl Dies and die cut, well sort of embossed it with the Stitched Greenery Die. Sure makes for a pretty background for the focal point.

I like how the stamping is light and chalk-like. I used a variety of colors to create the look.

I have a friend in mind for this card – she just bought a new house and this will be the perfect card for her!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

We have a great new two week sketch for you today –

Optional Theme : Embossing

We are also pairing up with Double Trouble for an added challenge to the twist! Check out the twist!

I am personally challenging myself to using the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper* this week! It is retiring soon and I just haven’t played with it much. Just look how pretty it is –

And, this is how the sketch and paper coe together –

Simply beautiful wouldn’t you say?

I found a pretty bouquet of flowers from one of the patterns and fussy cut it. I found a coordinating or contrasting pattern to place it upon. Before I did, I embossed it with one of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies turned like the sketch.

I added the flower bouquet using dimensionals. I also embossed the card base using the largest Stitched With Whimsy Die creating a subtle border.

These are a favorite of mine – they turn a plain card into a wow card! Easily!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

It’s time for another inspirational sketch to get your creativity going –

Optional Theme : Beach Days

I was able to get the sketch correct, but I really don’t have anything in my stash that’s beachy! I used some of the adorable Snail Mail products –

Just adorable, right???

I die cut three of the small envelopes from the soon-to-retire Snail Dies* –

They are also on sale as well! I assembled them and closed them with a Dimensional before adding a sweet little Resin Heart*, also retiring and on sale!

I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, Snailed It*. I punched it out using the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch.

The strip of pattern paper is also from the suite, Snail Mail* –

Sadly, everything related to this card is retiring.

Glad I dusted it off and played with it just one more time! What do you think? So sweet, right?

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

I hope you are able to craft a cool summer!

Perhaps you can do that with challenge! Here is our newest two challenge from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday –

I went both, sort of –

I embossed the two panels using the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders. They are a set –

I placed those on a Very Vanilla card base and used Very Vanilla rectangle for the two flowers from the Dandy Wishes Dies. I love these!

Lots of texture with minimal color –

The sentiment is from the Forever Fern, just a simple HELLO.

I love the added touch of these retiring Resin Hearts* that are on sale!

I am a big fan of this Well Suited* Designer Series Paper that is retiring at the end of June.

I used it along with the Handsomely Suited bundle* –

Such an awesome, simple, manly card –

I die cut the ties first. Adding the strip of DSP over the ties, along the bottom. I like this grid pattern for the circle and decided not to stamp on it.

I like this way it came together! It was a great sketch to play with these dies and paper a few more times!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

And happy NEW catalog day for those of you love Stampin’ Up! products!

We have a new two week challenge for you today –

Optional Theme : Pastels

And, yes, I’m using new products! Look at this patel beauty –

I started with a Pale Papaya base, it is sort of like a peach color. I added two pieces of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, one flagged.

I used the Basic Borders Dies to create the stitched edge on the flagged plaid strip. It cuts quite nice!

The sentiment is from the coordinating Pansy Punch stamp set. The oval-like shape is from the Hippo & Friends Dies.

I added three premade pansies from the Designer Series paper using the Pansy Die! Couldn’t be any easier!

Happy Tuesday Try Stampin’ on Tuesday

So I got the sketch down, but not the April showers –

Still as lovely as can be!

I used this soon-to-retire Ornate Garden* Designer Series Paper* as my starting point –

I love the subtle gold foiling in the pattern!

The light catches it nicely!

Both oval sets recently retired, the Layering Ovals Dies* and the Stitched Shapes Dies*. So sad to see both go from Stampin’ Up!

The sentiment is from the Four Seasons* stamp set –

It is a bargain at only $5.60! And, if you just like the flower images, then you can get the French version for only $3.60!

Such a beautiful card! The bow adds the finishing touch!

And, at $2.80 for both rolls of the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack* you can not beat that!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Got another great challenge for you today!

I incorporated both the ‘more than one fold’ and the layout –

Yes, another fun fold –

Fully opened –

Soo sweet, right?

I started with a strip of Peony Garden* Designer Series Paper, it’s retiring soon. You can get three cards from one 12″ x 12″ sheet! I so love this idea!

I die cut one edge using the aslo retiring Magnolia Memory Dies* –

What a fantastic buy at $8.75, they were $35.00! These dies pair with the Good Morning Magnolia* stamp set, also retiring –

I used the Hello sentiment in a Trio of Tags die cut. I added a die cut flower and leaves on the outside from the same dies.

Such a sweet card – and soo easy!

This is such great pet paper! I’m sure it’ll sell out soon!

The Resin Hearts were a nice touch to break up the black and white of the card.

A month ago we had to say goodbye to our sweet Cranston. Here he is at Christmas –

We sure miss him. He was a snuggly little cutie.

Love a great simple sketch like this!

I created a simple monochromatic card today using the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and the Brilliant Wings Dies.

I stamped the sentiment is from Vine Design on a thin piece of Very Vanilla. I cut it apart to mimic the sketch.

I decided to play with the Brilliant Wings Dies again to create this beauty –

The Love You Always Foil Sheets and the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper are the show stoppers here!

I die cut the butterfly and placed it on the Pearlescence Specialty Paper. The Peony Dies scallop border was also cut in the Pearlescence Specialty Paper. It is a beautiful paper that adds a touch of elegance.
