Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest layout challenge –

I have gotten to where I love these challenges with diagonal pieces. They are soo easy to create! Here is how I used the sketch –

I started with a piece of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″, cut diagonally!

I then placed it on the edge and embossed the piece with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

The beautiful flower was found in one of the sheets of the same Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. The blue pattern at the bottom more specifically.

I used the, now retired, Layering Ovals Dies** to die cut the flower. I also embossed it for more dimension.

The sentiment is from the Art Gallery stamp set.

I love this card. I have a friend in mind it is going to.

Happy Tuesday Try Stampin’ on Tuesday

Optional Theme : April Showers

So I got the sketch down, but not the April showers –

Still as lovely as can be!

I used this soon-to-retire Ornate Garden* Designer Series Paper* as my starting point –

I love the subtle gold foiling in the pattern!

The light catches it nicely!

Both oval sets recently retired, the Layering Ovals Dies* and the Stitched Shapes Dies*. So sad to see both go from Stampin’ Up!

The sentiment is from the Four Seasons* stamp set –

It is a bargain at only $5.60! And, if you just like the flower images, then you can get the French version for only $3.60!

Such a beautiful card! The bow adds the finishing touch!

And, at $2.80 for both rolls of the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack* you can not beat that!

Happy Day!

Playing with new stuff from the January to June 2021 Catalog today!

I was inspired by TGIF Challenges today –

I have been itching to to play with this gorgeous Art Gallery Bundle –

See how pretty this is??? The Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper is soo detailed. It is an actual painting copied and made into paper!

The main words dies and the postage bordered banner are from the new Floral Gallery Dies.

The Art Gallery stamp set has several words to coordinate with the main die words also.

I can see getting a lot of use from this bundle. I think it will be a popular one for sure. It will be available the first part of January.

Welcome to our February hop!

Our theme this month is of course, L O V E !

I went with a favorite of mine, gnomes!

I made a smaller, lovelier version of this one. See how cute this one is –

I used the From My Heart Designer Series paper for most of this card.

This little lovely guy is on one of the scalloped Stitched Be Mine Dies. Also, a favorite die set of mine!

This little gnome was created using several unconventional products :

body – Layering Ovals Dies
beard – Tropical Dies
Nose – Dog Builder
Hat – Tulip Builder

Pretty nifty, huh? He is just filled with love!

I used a punched heart from the same Designer Series Paper for the sentiment. The Heartfelt Bundle came in handy when creating this card!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – O Christmas Tree

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards with trees.

Or maybe trees used in a different way?? Lol!

Yes. I jumped on the gnome craze!

The pattern papers are from the Wrapped in Plaid 6×6 Designer Series Paper.

I took a Gold Foil-Edge card and cut it in two. I layered that a Whisper White card base with the fold at the top. Then I layered on the pattern paper.

To created this little cutie I used two solid trees from the In The Woods Dies. One is cut in Whisper White, (the beard, upside down), the other in Cherry Cobbler (hat).

His body is an oval from the largest oval in the Layering Ovals Dies, with a bit trimmed off the bottom.

His nose was a hard one to come up with…….but, the Bouquet Bunch Dies had just the right shape! I think it is part of a tulip!

He came together soo well! I just love him!!

The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Winter Woods. You might have that bundle from last Christmas. The Timeless Label Punch was the right size for the sentiment as well!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Designer Series Paper

Our theme this week features our favorite Designer Series Paper.

Can you just guess what mine might be??? I’ve posted about and shared quite a few samples this past month!

I combined my favorite Designer Series Paper with the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folder –

It. Is. Beautiful. So. Gorgeous.

Yes, my favorite Designer Series Paper is this, Christmastime is Here Specialty!!!!

One paper in the pack is nothing but clusters of roses, one set can be cut with the dies, the other either fussy cut or what I did here. I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut most of the bunch. I layered that on on Gold Foil Embossed Frame that takes this over the top!

The Gold Frame is two parts. One is the actual oval frame shape that you die cut. The other is an oval embossed frame that creates an ornate design with the embossing.

I backed those two on a piece of the Designer Series Paper with gold running through pattern.

The best part of this paper? It is GREAT for cards because you still get 12 sheets in the pack. Only 3 patterns, so you you get 4 sheets of each!!! It is like a bulk buy!
