Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a, Easter card!

Perfect time to get some great ideas and get those cards created and in the mail!

Of course, you knew what I’d go with! (Whisper voice, the Brilliant Wings Dies, lol!)

Isn’t this stunning? Well, it was stunningly easy!!!!

I started with this Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate –

It is soo pretty! And, just look at my card, the back side is silver!

I added the strip of So saffron onto my soon-to-retire Purple Posy card base. Right above, I used a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the acetate to the front of the card without it showing.

On top of the acetate, I placed this Purple 3/8″ Tri-Color Ribbon to cover any visible Tear & Tape.

The sentiment is from the Springtime Joy stamp set, punched using the Timeless Label Punch.

And, yes, the show stopper is this gorgeous butterfly from the Brilliant Wings Dies. I have featured it all week! It is done in So Saffron and Silver Foil.

A perfect focal point to go with the sentiment.

Happy Saturday!

Welcome to my second hop for the day!

We are sharing things we are working on these days!

Well, I’ve been playing with pretty papers!

Here, I’ll show off this so sweet Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper –

I love this type of card because……….well, just look at each card a little closer –

Now look when you open the card –

You see other side of this paper! Such a pretty side too!

And, this one –

The pretty green plaid inside –

I think these are my two favorite patterns in the pack!

Shown, is the Berry Blessings stamp set you can also get free with the pattern paper during Sale-a-bration!

I used the coordinating Sweet Strawberry Stamp set –

For both cards, I created a small, partially punched sentiment as to not overwhelm the card. I think I’ll got through the pack of pattern paper and create a few more of these cards! I love how fresh and fun they are!

Dog House Birthday

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a safe and fun holiday weekend!

I felt the need to play around with this challenge from The Paper Players today –

Who doesn’t love a good fancy fold??

I repurposed a the kite fold and created a dog house –

When you open it, you see the nifty fold –

I have made a few different things with this versatile fold too. A bird house, a graduation cap and recently a kite.

For this card, the base is 3 1/2″ x 10. I scored initially at 5″. On each side, I placed 2 marks 1 3/4″ from the center score line on the top and bottom of the strip, (4 marks total). I then scored diagonally from mark to mark crossing over the center 5″ score line. I folded each score line, creasing as you normally do. I pushed the two diagonal score lines in creating the triangle at the top!

I decorated the house by adding the Designer Series Paper. I used solid card stock for the roof. I fussy cut one of the dogs and a ball from the pattern paper.

Simply adorable!!!

Here is our newest challenge –

Nice, earthy colors! Great for a anyone, but makes for a real nice masculine card –

Wouldn’t you agree?

I am excited that I finally got the Timeless Tropical bundle in along with the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper in! I also got the Coastal Weave embossing Folder in as well. I used all for this card.

For the palm tree, I inked up my stamp in Old Olive, then markered the tree trunks in Soft Suede. After stampin the tree, I took the Pear Pizzaz Stampin’ Write marker and filled in the tree leaves. The added details makes all the difference!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – O Christmas Tree

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards with trees.

Or maybe trees used in a different way?? Lol!

Yes. I jumped on the gnome craze!

The pattern papers are from the Wrapped in Plaid 6×6 Designer Series Paper.

I took a Gold Foil-Edge card and cut it in two. I layered that a Whisper White card base with the fold at the top. Then I layered on the pattern paper.

To created this little cutie I used two solid trees from the In The Woods Dies. One is cut in Whisper White, (the beard, upside down), the other in Cherry Cobbler (hat).

His body is an oval from the largest oval in the Layering Ovals Dies, with a bit trimmed off the bottom.

His nose was a hard one to come up with…….but, the Bouquet Bunch Dies had just the right shape! I think it is part of a tulip!

He came together soo well! I just love him!!

The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Winter Woods. You might have that bundle from last Christmas. The Timeless Label Punch was the right size for the sentiment as well!

I’d love to read your comments on this little fella! Sometimes you just have to get creative when you are given a theme!

It’s Almost FALL Y’all

Fall. My favorite time of year!

I like to create a banner each occasion and fall is one I do not miss! Especially when I have great resources to create a sweet project such as this –

This is The Gift of Fall August Paper Pumpkin. It is one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits so far!

If you subscribe now, you can still get this August kit (above) and the add on (below)!

As you can see, the kit is cute little gift bags. With this add-on, you can create cards with the left over bag supplies (there are plenty) or cards instead. Or, a banner as I did!

The only other item I added to my banner was the Hand-Lettered Prose dies in Early Espresso. I also used the Timeless Label Punch, but realized after the fact, the kit had shapes I could have used! I ended up using the cards as the paper to cut these shapes out!

Wouldn’t you agree, this is just a gorgeous mini banner!

Magnolia Thank You

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

Fresh. Bright. Cheerful.

I went a summer-ish, sweet, thank you card –

I started with die cutting these beautiful flowers from the Magnolia Memory die set. I loved using both the inside pieces and the outer parts of the flowers creating this card. I haven’t seen these used much.

I used the Basket Weave strip down the center of the card, cutting a pretty decorative edge along the bottom. The flowers fit just above it nicely.

I added the sentiment from Magnolia Blooms, punched using the Timeless Label punch. I punched it twice to shorten it.

What do you think? Isn’t it pretty?

Daisy Lane Friend

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

Such bright cheery colors! Perfect for using the new Daisy Lane bundle!

These are just free and fun!

The flowers were simply done.

I punched the flowers out of solid card stock. I stamped the top petals in both colors and punched them out, adding them to the top of the solid color flower stack.

Lastly, adding the 1/2″ centers in Daffodil Delight.

The sentiment was also from the same stamp set and punched once from the Timeless Label punch, then the circles came from the Detailed Trio punch – perfect for running ribbon through.

The offset focal image adds a touch of whimsey. It is nice with these flowers and bright colors.

Our theme this week features shades of yellow.

I decided to play with some new Designer Series Paper, Mosaic MoodSpecialty, that will be available June 4th. It’s soooo pretty.

It was just too pretty to cover up! And, the mosaic pattern reminded me of a brick road!

I needed a wedding card so this was perfect for that occasion too!

This would be great layout for a mass produced card. The top piece is 4 x 4, the bottom is 1 1/2 x 4.

The sentiment came from the stamp set, Beautiful Bouquet.

May Techniques Kre8tors Blog Hop

Happy Mother’s Day!

I am so excited to be part of this blog hop on such a wonderful today!

Our theme this month is techniques. Quite a broad theme! I love it!

I combined a few things today creating this purrrfect card –

Ok, let’s see the card without paws!

Let’s start with the sentiment. I used two items here, a Stampin’ Write marker and two different stamps. I used Nine Lives for the ‘MEOW’ and the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sentimental Rose, for the “Happy thers Day’.

Both stamps are photopolymer. I literally colored the letters I wanted to use and stamped them. Believe me, I attempted this a few times, but this was actually my first attempt! And, it was the best! I used a new punch, Timeless Label to punch it out. (Available June 4th.)

I also used the Simply Scored to score the stripe pattern on the front of the card before using the Stitched Be Mine Dies for the heart.

My next technique was this nifty double fold on the card –

Two sweet cats punched from the All My Love Designer Series Paper!

And, when that is opened –

So cute, right??

The outside is a regular card, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. The inner card I trimmed 1/4″ off of the two sides.

I just love this!

And, of course, you just have to see who inspired this meow-velous card –

Luna, my first fur baby. She looks sooo happy to be a part of this!

And, Cranston, aka, Mr. C that is a total ham!
