Happy Saturday – a day of creative sharing for me!
This is blog hop #3 for the day!
Our theme is a fun one to kick off warmer temperatures and summer fun!
I thought about kites flying in the summer breeze –
The kite is placed on a flat card base and opens –
How cool is this???
I used a nifty fold that I’ve used for a bird house and a graduation cap to create this kite.
The initial card stock is 4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. I used the retired Diagonal Scoring Plate to make an ‘X’ through the center score line. From there, I trimmed the sides of the kite. I folded the score lines to create the pop up kite. To keep kite closed, a hook and loop dot did the trick!
I used the soo summery Whale of a Time Designer Series paper for the kite and ‘water’ the kit is flying over.
The box sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays.
The retired Whisper White Baker’s Twine made a nice tail to mimic the jellyfish tentacles.
What do you think? Pretty nifty, huh?
