We Create – School Daze

Happy Sunday! And, August 1st! Wow, time is flying!

Back to school will be here before we know it! So that is our theme this month!

I create a trio of cards as a teacher gift –

Teachers always like to encourage their students, so I thought these would be a nice gesture to pass on to their students.

I used a few different stamp sets for these sentiments.

Each card has an embossed panel using the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folders, such a heartwarming touch!

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches for this layout on these cards –

Hello Monday! Hello stampin’ friends!

It’s time for a new sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge –

Oh, this is a fun one! A perfect one to show off some pattern paper –

I used the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. It is on sale for just a few more days!

I selected my favorite floral pattern and chose coordinating solid colored patterns.

Just a sweet card!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

We are still CASing the catalog. Here is our latest one –

I had my eye on this card before this became a challenge for us – I was soo excited.

I used some of the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper for this –

Such a great card layout combined with these lovely, fun shaped flowers! They are from the Dandy Wishes Dies –

I used two over the vellum!

The Night of Navy sentiment is from the In Symmetry stamp set. It fit perfectly in the Hippo & Friends Dies.

Lastly, for a simple *pop* of color, I used the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I featured this card on my July card Buffet and it was a hit!

We Create – Pattern Paper Blog Hop

Happy July 1st!

Our theme this month is pattern paper, Designer Series Paper because Stampin’ Up is having a paper sale!!!

So why not show you how to make the most out of a 6″ x 6″ sheet of Designer Series Paper?

Look at these wonderful cards –

I started with a 6″ x 6″ piece of Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper cutting it into 4 pieces that were 3″ x 3″.

From there, I made thee following cuts paying close attention to the pattern on the paper –

Here, this was cut at 1 1/2″, or in half once.

This one is simply 1″ strips, three of them.

The one is 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″, so cut in half, rotate, cut in half again.

Lastly, this was cut at 1″, leaving the portion 2″.

All these are on a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy card stock. I then layered those on a scalloped panel from the Scallop Contours Dies. The Very Vanilla pieces are 3″ wide by about 1″, adding 1/8″ where needed to fill in the areas.

All the sentiments are from the coordinating stamp set, In Symmetry. Just a great group of cards!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest 2 week challenge –

Optional Theme : Flowers

I picked some fun papers to create this –

Aren’t these fun!?!? I used the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper –

I also used the In Symmetry stamp set for the ‘hey friend’ sentiment –

Together, along with this great sketch, it makes for a lovely card –

It just makes me smile!

So much so that I used it for a card swap I’m participating in! Do you think they will like it?
