Here is our newest color challenge –

I decided to play with a die that I never have tried! It’s this gorgeous Butterfly Beauty Dies –

These dies just spoke to me when I was trying to decide what to do with the colors.

I made the versatile Buffalo Check my background, allowing the butterflies to just pop! The lovely sentiment is from Beauty Abounds, die cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

And here is my take on it –

It’s mooooving, isn’t it?? Lol!

Well, it actually is an interactive card!

Sort of like a z-fold style, 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square card!

I just love these cows! I flipped the sketch a bit with the thought bubble and sentiment above the cow.

Coloring comes easy with Blends of course! I just love these! They make coloring too easy! And, fool proof too!

Merry Magnolia Christmas

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our newest two-week challenge –

Optional Theme : Christmas in July

Perfect!

I combined a few stamps creating this beauty –

Beautiful, right? I am soo excited how this turned out!

I started by stamping the largest flower from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp in Shaded Spruce and again in Real Red. I colored the leaves with the light Soft Sea Foam Blends and the flower with the retired light Pink Pirouette Blends. Framelit cutting both after coloring. I hand cut the rest of the flower.

I used dimensionals to adhere the flower to the leaves.

I also used the Buffalo Check stamp in Real Red on the strip of Real Red card stock.

I finished off the card by stamping the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set in Shaded Spruce.

That simple. This beautiful!

Band Together for a Birthday

Hello my stampin’ friends!

I’m attempting to create a card everyday this month because it’s my birthday month! Perhaps I’ll be able to do that and play with my new stuff!

Today I am inspired by a couple of challenges –

Color. This comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Theme. This comes from Stampin’ Up! Only challenges, SUOC 226.

Combining the two, I created this –

Simply lovely!

I used the Band Together stamp set stamping the flower image in Petal Pink. I used a Calypso Coral Light Blends, plus the Color Lifter to color the two flowers.

The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral. I die cut that out along with the decorative band from the Detailed Bands Dies.

After putting the those together, I placed all that on top of a piece of stamped Buffalo Check in Mint Macaron.

What do you think? Isn’t this a great birthday card or what?

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – The Rose

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features ‘The Rose’ by Bette Midler. You can hear it now, can’t you??

I mixed a few things creating this –

I started with the carryover stamp, Buffalo Check stamped in Old Olive. It is adhered on a Blushing Bride card base.

I used the new Be Mine Stitched Framelits to create the heart opening through both layers. I also used those framelits to create a heart frame in Real Red.

After I created my base, I found the Tea Together stamp set had a really nice rose flower. I stamped a few of those, then colored them in Real Red and Old Olive Blends. There are coordinating framelits that you can get for free during Sale-a-Bration!

I added those to the side of the heart. I stamped the sentiment after the flowers were adhered through the heart. Luckily, it turned out perfectly!

The last addition was the Heart Epoxy Droplets placed next to the sentiment. Perfectly done.

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Winter Flowers

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a winter flower.

My favorite winter flower is a poinsettia. Naturally, I’ll make a card using one of those!

Isn’t this gorgeous?

The Buffalo Check is so popular these days! It made a great starting point.

The beautiful poinsettias came from the stamp set, Stylish Christmas. It can be found in the regular catalog. And, yes, I stamped the flowers and fussy cut them out. Same with the leaves.

I sentiment was stamped then punched using the Duet Punch. I scored it two times on both sides of the sentiment. I folded it so it would look 3-d. It adds a nice touch.

I love the traditional colors in this card! I look forward to mailing it out! What do you think of it?

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, we can go full speed into Christmas! If you purchased anything during the sales this weekend, you might want to go ahead and wrap them.

How about lovely tags to top your packages?

These are beautiful!

See it up close –

I started with Poppy Parade card stock and used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch for the top of the tag. I rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.

In the center, I used a scrap of a Buffalo Check topped with a poinsettia from the Detailed Poinsettia Framelits.

The bold, TO YOU, is from Merry Christmas to All. Great for tags!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday! Where we always have a great new sketch to spark your creativity every Tuesday!

Optional Theme : Non Traditional Christmas / Holiday

Perfect as we can use all the ideas we can get! Everyone has different tastes and style for their Christmas cards.

The Nothing Sweeter Bundle has been a favorite of mine this year. I couldn’t resist using it again for this –

Sort of classic in colors, but the bright Granny Apple Green paired with the black Buffalo Check is so lovely!

I used the coordinating Sweetly Stitched framelits to cut out the shapes in fun colors too, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue.

The black and white banner piece is created using the Buffalo Check stamp, also a favorite of mine.

Let’s just say I pretty much love this card! Wouldn’t you agree?

Our theme this week features a Grateful card.

Perfect as I’m getting cards together for November.

I pulled out the Country Home stamp set, some framelits, some punches…….for this –

I started with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss. I had the background Buffalo Check already stamped in Merry Merlot. I added the lines in Blackberry Bliss.

I layered leaves and sprigs until I got just the right look. The card is finished off with a bow of lovely Linen Trim.

This past Sunday was a dear co-workers last day to work with us. It was bitter sweet.

I had to make her a card.

The Buffalo Check background was sitting on my desk, ready to go. I just needed something sweet to add to it.

Since we are in Pearland, we collect lots of pear items! The pears are from a retired set, Fresh Fruit. Perfect addition to the card –

I loved how perfectly these Banners for You worked here! The sentiments are awesome! Unique, and unlike other sets. I was going to put ‘goodbye’ and ‘good luck’, but I just could not. “Fabulous Friend’ won out!

Kay, you will be dearly missed. I am happy you are taking time for YOU now and going to enjoy lots of things in life.

Hello Fall – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Fall!!! And, welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a ‘Hello Fall’ card.

I went with a thank you fall because I’m so grateful for the season of fall!

This all started with the Buffalo Check background. It is Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla.

I added the Mossy Meadow lines. It’s so fall, so flannel looking!

I added the card base and I loved how it all looked against Cherry Cobbler. Then came this hostess set, Warm Hearted, for the ‘thanks’.

I added the leaves from the Detailed Leaves with sprigs using the Sprig Punch. The twine is Cherry Cobbler.

This is beautiful and suitable for anyone! It really warms my heart!

Hand Picked Friend

Happy Tuesday! Sharing a new design for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday today!

Here is our newest challenge –

Optional Theme : School Days

Perfect chance to pull out these gorgeous apples from the Picked for You stamp set!

I stamped the three apple layers on Watercolor Paper in Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, and Cherry Cobbler. After I stamped them, I used an Aqua Painter to blend the colors. It softened the lines, making a more realistic looking apple. The stem is stamped in Early Espresso. Apples were fussy cut out.

I then created my layers for the card. I started with the Buffalo Check (available September 5th) in the center and added the card stock layers behind it.

Stamped a sentiment and I put the card together!

Don’t you love how it turned out? Fun. Bright. Cheery. And, I love the apples!

Favorite Holiday Catalog Stamp Set – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the first of three post today for Three Post Saturday! I’ll be sharing fall cards today for all the postings.

I’m starting with the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our Favorite Holiday Catalog stamp set.

I love fall, so I couldn’t wait to create a fall card using new products from Holiday Mini catalog. These will be available September 5th.

I used the Falling for Leaves Bundle making this beautiful card –

The background, Buffalo Check, is also a stamp that will be in the Holiday Mini.

Leaves are stamped n the same color as the card stock and framelit cut them. I placed them around the sentiment.

The sprigs are punched in Blackberry Bliss using the new Sprig Punch! It’s all tied together using the Nature’s Twine.
