Here is our newest 2 week challenge to get your creativity going –

Optional Theme : 3 Colors, 2 Shapes, 1 Designer Series Paper

I’ve been itching to play with a new bundle that I just got. This Harvest Hellos, will be available September 4th. It is a coordinating stamp and punch.

Makes a very cute apple –

Cute, right? Just wait until you see the pumpkin the same punch can make!!! It is also very cute!

The sentiment is from the same stamp set as well. Makes creating this card way easier by using as minimal products as possible.

I simply love it! And, I think I got the all these : 3 colors, 2 shapes and 1 Designer Series Paper!

Goodbye to Sale-a-bration 2019

I have a farewell post for a few of the lovely Sale-a-bration items offered this year.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration items and sign-up offers.

I created some quick and easy cards using a few different products.

This was the first I card created. Simple. Beautiful. And, that sentiment!!! It’s from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set in the mini (still available until the end of May). The Designer Series Paper is the Painted Seasons, a favorite of mine!

Yes, this card. I am bummed I never played with these gorgeous other stamps in this All Adorned stamp set! I’ve only used the sentiment.

Bummed because they actually LINE up to stamps this beautiful double colored image. Since they are photopolymer, you can see right through them! So clever!

This is a Sale-a-bration stamp set you can get for free!

The nice punched shape is a Sale-a-bration coordination item, the Story Label punch. Sure hope it makes its way into the next catalog. Another favorite of mine! Today is the last day to order it as well.

The last card is in honor of the all-so-wanted Butterfly Gala Bundle.

The Butterfly Duet punch is finally available!!! The price point of this bundle you can not beat either!!! Just $35 (USD)!!! It will be available until the end of May as well, whew!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a farewell to Sale-a-bration. I am sad because I had some real favorites that I’d still like to play around with.

One of which is the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. My favorite is the black and white side. It is also perfect for a graduation card!

(Sorry for the blurry sentiment, I touched it when I took the picture, ugh!)

Back to my card. It is a gift card holder too!

Doesn’t this Designer Series Paper make the perfect graduation gift card holder??? I thought so too! That’s why I’m sad I won’t be able to use it much longer.

Basic Black base, 4 1/2 x 11
score at 1 1/2, 5 1/2
Whisper White (inside) 3 3/4 x 5
dotted pattern DSP (inside) 3 2/4 x 2
diagonal stripe DSP (front) 3 1/2 x 3 3/4
plaid DSP 1/2 x 3 3/4
Basic Black (front) 4 1/4 x 3
Silver Foil (front) 4 x 2 3/4
Whisper White (front) 3 3/4 x 2 1/2

adhere Whisper White to inside of card
adhere dotted pattern of DSP to inside, right side
fold 1 1/2 section over towards inside of card, adhere on top & bottom edge with Tear & Tape to form pocket for gift card or folded money
adhere diagonal stripe to front left panel
stamp sentiment low on right side
stamp books upper left side
adhere plaid DSP to cover ‘hands’ under books

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

I always get inspired when I create using these challenges! I knew I wanted to use the Amazing Life stamp set! One of the sentiments is perfect for the oval focal point –

Wouldn’t you agree?

Heres how I made this quick and easy card –

Lemon Lime Twist card base 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
DSP 3 7/8 x 5 3/8
DSP strip is cut about an inch using the pattern as a guide, I wanted the black to be along the 4 edges
Lemon Lime Twist strip between 1/16 and 1/4, not quite 1/4 by 4 1/4
stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap (here, I used the Stamparatus. I got heavy on the pressing down so it created a slightly darker area in the image, always press down evenly!)
framelit cut using 2nd to largest oval
color in letters with Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker
adhere DSP, DSP strip, Lemon Lime strip and oval to card front
done!

We Create Blushing Blog Hop

Welcome to my second post for February 1st!

We have a sweet blushing theme this month!

I went with a Valentine card design –

That is also a nifty fold –

The bottom layer is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Melon Mambo, with a Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Botanical Butterfly, layer.

On top, is a folded over 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 (scored at 4 1/4) card.

The heart Designer Series Paper is All My Love. It’s from the All My Love Suite of products. Along with the two hearts from Be Mine Stitched framelits. Just perfect for the sentiment.

It’s a lovely card! Wouldn’t you agree?

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

A great, inspiring sketch this week!

I thought some bright, spring colors was just the way to go with this sketch!

I started with the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper for the larger rectangle. I chose two butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and punched them using the coordinating punch. Tip : I used a Post It note attached to the back of the butterfly to insert it into the punch to punch it out.

The polka dot pattern is also a pattern from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. It was a light and fresh addition to the card.

The sentiment was stamped and framelit cut using the new Rectangle Stitched framelits. Love these!

The punch and stamp set are a terrific bundle, Butterfly Gala. Together, this just works so lovely together!

Happy Tuesday! Sharing a card designed for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our newest sketch challenge –

Optional Theme : Tiny Things

I just had to use the Cat Punch. Again.

The Cat Punch was perfect to use with these Stitched Shapes squares for this sketch!

I used a variety of pinks for the squares, all placed on top of a black and white pattern from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, a free Sale-a-bration item.

The color choice came from Sunday Stamps and their color challenge SSC197 –

Beautiful along with all the other elements!

Two Card Share

Happy Wednesday!

This past Monday night we had our Team Christmas party!

We ate, we socialized, we laughed, we exchanged gifts, we played an adorable left / right game and we made a couple of cards using new products!

Both cards are cute and might end up on my Card Buffet!

This one uses the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper –

The strip on the left side, the outside butterfly and an inside butterfly all come from the Designer Series Paper! A coordinating punch was used for both of the butterflies! So you can get LOTS from this paper!

I’m glad we did this card. I haven’t played with this paper much. It is very versatile!

The sentiment was stamped without the use of the Stamparatus! Can you believe it?? The image turned out quite well! I really like this card, simple and easy to recreate!

The other card we made was a Valentine card –

Lots of layers here. This card uses the Meant to Be Bundle. The stamp set is the Meant to Be with the coordinating framelits, the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. If you haven’t seen these, just look at how many you get! OMG! Awesome. Don’t over look these beauties!

I really liked both these cards! My upline provided both card designs. Not sure who she cased them from.

Create with Connie and Mary – Saturday Blog Hop – How Sweet It Is

Welcome to our first Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop of 2019!

Our themes for the next few weeks will feature love / musical themes. This week it will be How Sweet It Is.

I used the Hello Cupcake Sale-a-Bration stamp set again creating this beauty –

The card base is Real Red, with a layer of Flirty Flamingo, just for fun, and the Sale-a-Bration black and white Designer Series Paper, Botanical Butterfly.

Both cupcake parts were stamped and fussy cut. I added extra icing for this card. Those were all placed on a Stitched Shapes oval and one of the scalloped Layering Ovals

The ‘love’ come from the new, wonderful, Well Written Framelits. A favorite of mine! That was placed on one of the framelits in the Needlepoint Elements. It was scored to create some dimension.

I SO love this card and can not wait to send it out!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Occasions Stamp

Welcome to our last 2018 Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop! Don’t worry, we will be back next Saturday in 2019!

Our theme this week features our favorite occasions stamp.

Favorite!? Gah! I haven’t had much time to play with any of the new stuff I have received. But, I have been drawn to a few sets when I create.

I love the big, bold set of sentiments in the Life is Grand stamp set. I used this one directly on Designer Series Paper –

Simply gorgeous!

The paper is a Sale-a-Bration item, called, Botanical Butterfly. It is really pretty as one side is all colorful and the other side is black and white! We all love a great black and white pattern paper!

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the image. Its large, so I wanted to make sure I had great coverage on the Designer Series Paper. It worked perfectly on the first attempt! Yay!

The card is finished off with a simple line of Highland Heather Organdy ribbon. This is also a Sale-a-Bration item new for 2019! It contains five rolls of beautiful ribbon! It’ll be a favorite of mine, I know it!

Now, I’m really itching to play with my new stuff!!!
