Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our favorite brights color.

Can I say all of them?? I really like our colors, especially the brights!

I started off trying to create a simply stamped card –

Well, it turned into a little more!

I started by stamping the stems from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I added the flowers in Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Gorgeous Grape. Then, I filled in the spaces with the leaves. Some were stamped off, others straight color.

The stamping was quite simple. I added the sentiment from the same set, and used the Rectangle Stitched framelits to cut it out. I added it to s strip of Pacific Point.

This is a lovely, bright, bold spring card! These colors are very happy!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

We have a new two-week challenge for you –

This is a wonderful simple sketch! It can be used for soo many card styles.

I went with a card appropriate for a friendly Mother’s Day card.

I attended OnStage this year and learned a really nifty tip that I used here. The flowers were colored after they were stamped with a Blender Pen! By doing so, it made the flower the lightest, prettiest shade of Flirty Flamingo!

I framelit cut the flowers after coloring them adding them to the sentiment circle.

I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut the layers here. (I realized the center vertical piece needed to be longer after the card was completed.)

The sentiment is from Strong & Beautiful. And, it is very beautiful.

A Friend is Thinking of You

Happy Sunday! And, happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I ran across Sunday Stamps and their 200th sketch! Now, that’s something to celebrate!

These are my favorite kind of sketches, simple! I was immediately inspired!

Perfect for pulling out the Cat Punch! Again! And, one of my favorite Designer Series Papers, Happiness Blooms.

Adorable, right???

My inspiration is my own two cats! They are always in the oddest places looking in on me! Especially the newest one, Cranston.

Since I’ve become a cat person, this card will be very appropriate to send to any of my friends! Wouldn’t you agree?

Hello weekend! And, hello Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards using any stitched framelits.

Well, this is an easy one! Who doesn’t love any of our stitched framelits???

I also took this literally –

I used a few different ‘stitched’ framelits on this card.

I started with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits creating two layers on a Blackberry Bliss base, Powder Pink and Berry Burst.

I added the stitched element from the Needlepoint Elements also on the Berry Burst layer. I did this twice, once toward the top, the other lower to extend the pattern.

(And, FYI, you can actually stitch that pattern it creates too!!!)

In the center where the two patterns overlapped, I added a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Suite, Needlepoint Nook.

It’s finished off with the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, also stitched around. The Pretty Label Punch coordinates perfectly with the shape to punch it out!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

A great, inspiring sketch this week!

I thought some bright, spring colors was just the way to go with this sketch!

I started with the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper for the larger rectangle. I chose two butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and punched them using the coordinating punch. Tip : I used a Post It note attached to the back of the butterfly to insert it into the punch to punch it out.

The polka dot pattern is also a pattern from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. It was a light and fresh addition to the card.

The sentiment was stamped and framelit cut using the new Rectangle Stitched framelits. Love these!

The punch and stamp set are a terrific bundle, Butterfly Gala. Together, this just works so lovely together!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday, Tuesday!

Here is our newest two week challenge –

I used the sketch and ‘love everybody’ to create this –

A lovely card using the All My Love Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!

It is very cool that three of the patterns (I used 2 here) are the exact same print, just with a different background color! Here, I used one with a pink background and a the other has a Crumb Cake background. That’s the one I used for my diagonal cut.

The patterns line up perfectly with just a different background color! Pretty cool!

The sentiment is from the set, Meant to Be and stamped on a new Rectangle Stitched Framelits, these are very cool!

The heart is cut using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits from the same printed All My Love Designer Series Paper. And, bonus – one framelit cut both hearts out at once! The outer, scalloped heart is the reverse side!

I think this will be a card on my Card Buffet later in the month. It shows lots of different aspects of stamping and ways to use the products in the Meant to Be Bundle.
