We are having the best spring weather here in the Texas area – low, low humidity! Feels SO much like a fresh spring!

So, time to celebrate and get creative with a Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

I think of tulips when I thing spring. So, that was my inspiration for this –

……and Mother’s Day. It’ll be be here before we know it!

These sweet tulips were created using a couple of the egg framelits from the Basket Builder framelits. Would you believe that!?!?! Yes, it took two Big Shot passes for each one, but so worth it. These are adorable flowers!

Ghirardelli Tiny Bunny Treat Holder Tutorial

One of yesterdays posts, I showed this little cutie –

Sweet, huh?

I like to create my own patterns because of the challenge. I love that challenge of figuring something out! I bought the candy and designed the holder around it!

Today, I’ll give you a pictorial tutorial how I created it.

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 2 1/2 x 5. (Yes, a blue paper pattern resting on a well used Stampin’ pierce mat!)

Score on the short side 1/2, 2. Rotate and score along the long side at 2, 3 1/4, 3 3/4.

Note : I also scored at 2″ to the 1/2 score mark so I’d know where to cut away. In my pictures it’s already removed.

I made little notches where the creases intersect.

My grass was already cut. I adhered it to the portion of the box using Tombow Liquid Glue, facing out. You can use your favorite strong adhesive though.

At this point, create a basic box. Glueing grass flaps to the back. They do fold easily!

I decorated them after they were finished.

The first card was on my March Card Buffet. People loved it!

The Basket Bunch Bundle is an absolute must have from this Occasions Mini catalog! I loved the simplicity of the first card, until………until, I added the designer series paper. The addition made the card really cute!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Treats

No foolin’, it’s time to hop around with the wonderful designers at Create with Connie and Mary!

Our theme this week is Easter Treats. Perfect, because Easter will be here before we know it! And, you want to be prepared, don’t you??

I did what anyone would have done. Scour the interweb for ideas. I wanted to create something I hadn’t seen to share.

I then went to the store for some real inspiration. The candy!!!!

In no time, I created these little gems –

I created the holder too!

The grass, egg, and bow was a die-cut, luckily! I have several more of these to whip up for my coworkers.

Hoppy Easter

It’s Thursday! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

This week it’s a new sketch to spark your creativity!

Isn’t this a nice layout? So many options with this one!

Since Easter is around the corner, I decided to create a sweet little Easter card –

Doesn’t this make you just ‘hoppy’ to see it?

This little bunny is the sweetest! Luckily, with the Labeler Alphabet, I was able to custom create my sentiment! Nifty, huh?

I stamped and hand cut the tiny little bow tie – just because – to create a much needed detail for bunny. The framelits did the rest for me! If you haven’t looked closely at these framelits….check them out. The set is super cute!

Happy Spring Equinox

That’s right!Happy Spring (more like summer here in Texas though)!

…..and why mark the occasion with a card??

You know me and my love of paper crafting! And, my pile of unused dies cuts…..

So, I try to use them and create something with them.

This is really just a fun card. The random flowers are my favorite part! Going with a nice retiring Cucumber Crush card base really helped the ‘spring’ stand out.

This non-Easter card shows the versatility of both the Basket Bunch and the Happy Celebration stamp sets! Worked quite nicely with the Carried Away DSP (FREE during Sale-a-Bration).

Luckily, today it IS a beautiful spring day. Guess I can go enjoy it myself now!

Happy Thursday! Yes, Thursday. Already. Looks like another month is flying by before our eyes!

And, you know what that means? Time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge.

I decided to go with a fun Easter type card –

Isn’t this cute, cute?

I just love how the glimmer paper ‘eggs’ are sort of hidden in the grass. This glimmer paper can be yours for FREE through the end of the month during Sale-a-Bration.

I raised the white panel to give the card a little extra ‘pop’ – although it’d look great without it too.

Wacky Watercooler Spring Fever February Blog Hop

I’m back for another fabulous blog hop of paper crafting talent with the Wacky Watercooler!

Our theme this month is Spring Fever! And, boy did I catch it!

I’ve been itching to play with the new Window Box Thinlits and the Basket Bunch stamp set. I think they’d make a great combination! And, they did. Just look at what I created –

A sweet little basket just filled with mini cards!!! I used half, or one, of the basket pieces to create this basket.

Who doesn’t love a chocolate bunny???

…..and, Peeps? Did someone say, Peeps???

Of course you have your Easter eggs.

And let’s not forget about carrots. Carrots are very springy!

The cards are all 2×3, perfect for tags or little ‘love’ notes!

The basket grass was adhered with dimensionals to give a 3D or stacked appearance.

This little set is just too precious!
