Hello weekend! And, hello Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards using any stitched framelits.

Well, this is an easy one! Who doesn’t love any of our stitched framelits???

I also took this literally –

I used a few different ‘stitched’ framelits on this card.

I started with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits creating two layers on a Blackberry Bliss base, Powder Pink and Berry Burst.

I added the stitched element from the Needlepoint Elements also on the Berry Burst layer. I did this twice, once toward the top, the other lower to extend the pattern.

(And, FYI, you can actually stitch that pattern it creates too!!!)

In the center where the two patterns overlapped, I added a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Suite, Needlepoint Nook.

It’s finished off with the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, also stitched around. The Pretty Label Punch coordinates perfectly with the shape to punch it out!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – February CASING a Card

Our theme this month we are CASEing another card using Sale-a-bration products –

My CASE for this is quite ribbiting –

Lol! Wouldn’t you agree??

I used three different Sale-a-Bration items to create this card.

Both of the black and white pattern papers are from the Botanical Butterfly. The frogs are from So Hoppy Together (fussy cut of course!) and the sentiment stamp set is Hello Cupcake.

All put together with some punches! I think this turned out fabulous!

Watercooler Wednesday 137 – Penny’s Masculine Anything Goes Challenge

Time for a card created for Watercooler Wednesday!

Our new challenge this week is from Penny, a masculine card! We can all use ideas in this area!

I decided on something fun and bright –

This would be very appealing for a young male or even an adult!

The focal paper is the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper! Is this paper wonderful! You really just have to see it in person to appreciate it. The catalog does not do it just! It’s like a Crumb Cake or Kraft base with foil embossed onto it already. It’s just gorgeous!

This Lemon Lime twist pairs nicely with the Pacific Point. Both are bright and full of energy.

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Fun with Embossing Paste

We’ve made it to Saturday! Whew! It’s Hurricane Harvey Hoopla here in the land of Pears (Texas Gulf coast area)!!! So, I’ll share a card created for Create with Connie and Mary. My mojo was hard to come by today. Worried about the storm.

Enough ~~wining~~ whining, Our theme this week is Fun with Embossing Paste!

What a great topic as I ordered these supplies a while back, and in the meantime I have ‘misplaced’ my decorative masks I found the Embossing Paste and Palette Knives though. Ugh…..I’ll find them as soon as this goes live in the morning, I just know it!

But, no worries. I created my own mask with acetate sheets and a die cut! Worked beautifully!

I went with new products here –

The sentiment is from the new set (available September 1) Creep it Real, and the pumpkins are from the Pick a Pumpkin set that is part of the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle that has coordinating framelits.

I placed the framelit I used to create the background in this picture. And, yes, I ran it through several times to create the pattern used on the card with the paste. Totally worth it! After it dried, I went over each little + with Wink of Stella for added sparkle. Hard to see of course.

I layered two different ribbon along the bottom, Fresh Fig and a retired Tangerine Tango.

Check out the other Design Team members Embossing paste cards. I know I’m looking forward to seeing them. This was my first attempt at using this stuff. It’s way easy too!
