Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest 2 week challenge –

How fun is this?!?!

I used the stamp set Happiest of Birthdays to create this –

With the help of the Stamparatus of course!

This lovely Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper adds a nice touch for a March birthday!

I added the balloons from the Balloon Bouquet Punch for that festive touch, lol!

Such a fun birthday card!

Happy B-Day Oh So Ombre

Hello!

Welcome to another fabulous set of Oh So Ombre cards!

I just can not quite playing with this fabulous paper from Sale-a-bration!!!!

I followed a sketch from the catalog today –

And I used my favorite, again, the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

Along with the must have, Happiest of Birthdays, stamp set. It is one of my favorites!

I was able to create all four cards from only two sheets of each pattern in the Designer Series Paper on this pack! Super quick and easy to make a bunch of these in no time!

I cut the strips and used every other one for front of the card. The remaining, another color, for the back.

When I cut the dotted center panel, same thing. I used one side for one card, the other, flipped for the back.

I stamped the same sentiment on all the cards in the same color ink as the base. I trimmed them closely, but all the same size, after stamping.

The small balloons are punched from the Balloon Builder Punch just randomly from scraps.

After the past few days, I have several cards to sent out for upcoming occasions! So excited!

Hello! Happy Saturday!

Welcome the the second of three blog hops for me today!

Our theme this hop around is anything new from Stampin’ Up!. Sooooo how about new stuff from the January to June Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration Mini?

I went with the You Are Amazing stamp set along with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

I had a difficult time deciding just which pattern to go with, so I used all eight in the pack to create a sweet set of birthday cards –

I also added the sentiment from You Are Amazing stamped in the same color as the card stock.

I made each card the exact same. This will make a perfect gift set for someone or I might just mail them out this month. Lots of January birthdays!

After stamping, I punched the sentiments out and backed them with a die cut Silver Foil scalloped circle.

The strip under the sentiment was a scrap from another set of cards I created with this paper. I use everything! Lol!

I punched the balloons from the Balloon Bouquet Punch in the exact same spot on each piece of pattern paper to get the same variation.

To tie in the Silver Foil, I added the Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the cards.

These are just so sweet!!!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

I had so much fun with this sketch!

The base is Mango Melody, such a fun, bright color!

The pattern paper, or Designer Series paper is the soon to retire, Best Route. Such nice, masculine colors in this paper.

The balloons are punched in Pineapple Punch.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays from the Spring mini. Luckily, this set and the Balloon Bouquet punch will be in the new catalog.

This is such a great layout, I’ll be using it again when we get new Designer Series Papers in June!

Easter Egg Easter Wishes

Hello Thursday!

Welcome to our newest challenge from Create with Connie and Mary –

Doesn’t this look like a fun one to try –

I enjoyed the challenge creating an Easter card –

I really had a lot of fun with this card.

Can you guess what I used to create my eggs? Think about it….

I used the Basket Weave for the background.

The stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration Coordination items called, More Than Words, (only available until March 31).

I created the ‘died Easter eggs’ using various patterns from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

Did you figure out what I used??

Ok, ok . . . .I used the Balloon Bouquet punch! I cut off the tie little part, keeping the overall shape. To me it looks like an egg now, not a balloon! Wouldn’t you agree?

I hope that I have inspired you to think outside the box with your Balloon Bouquet punch and create something!

Although we are in full swing for the Christmas season, it’s never to early to thing about the New Year! And, so that is our theme today!

I created a treat bag for holding sparklers, poppers and all sorts of festive goodies to ring in the new year –

Of course, I had to use the ‘Cheers to the New Year’ from hostess set, Warm Hearted.

I added festive papers from the Broadway Bound Designers Series Paper pack. Perfect for such an occasion.

I cut the numbers from the Designer Series Paper as well. I put those on balloons I punched using the Balloon Bouquet punch.

I can’t wait to make more of these to ring in the New Year!

Watercooler Wednesday #119 – Judy’s Masculine ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge

It’s been a few days since I posted last.

Nice to spend some time designing for Watercooler Wednesday today! Our theme today comes from a new team member –

Welcome, Judy!!

I went with a fun, traditional color scheme –

…..and, some retiring Designer Series Paper, stamp set and some items carrying over!!!

The Designer Series Paper has lines that make it a little shaded or rough as you can see. When I inked up my stamp, I kept getting that same lines effect! Not really sure how – but it so worked for this card!

I just thought these colors were very guy-ish, summer-ish and just plain fun-ish! Ha, ha, ha!

We are having some beautiful weather here in the Lone Star state! Still, I like to be inside with the blinds open creating!

So, you saw my card Saturday, right? It was a great card. And it almost made the Card Buffet.

But, I felt it lacked something. So, I tweaked it a little. This is the result –

It’s Spring Break and I’ve been busy – So. I have a quick post for you today.

These are the Thanks You cards I made and mailed out to my customers last week –

Wacky Watercooler March Blog Hop

Whew! What a busy few weeks it’s been!

For the next few days, I’m joining up with Wacky Watercooler Stamping and their March Blog Hop, Fun Folds!

This is perfect for me because I love fun folds! Check out the ensemble I have created for this –

Fun Folds can be kind of tricky because it’s like reinventing the wheel. Most of these we have already seen. Except for one of the one I’m sharing today.

First off, have you ever heard of a Dutch fold? No, it’s not a new fold, but I received a swap using this fold and thought I’d share it –

Opened, it’s really cool –

The top flips up and the bottom two pieces swing open! Quite cool and fun!

The next one is called a Triangle Fold card –

Just a nifty little square until you open it –

May be hard to tell in the photo, but both flaps are folded back.

The last Fun Fold is one I created. I call it a mini Triple Accordion Fold. Mini because it’s finished size is 3 1/2 x 5. It will fit our note card sized envelopes!

And, when it’s opened it looks really cool and will stand on its own –

So, all of my cards opened –

For me, I liked going with the same card stock, DSP and sentiment. I really love how they came together!

Six Balloon Hip Hip Hooray

It’s Friday. No four cards. No five cards. One card. Six balloons.

You see, I had something else in mind. I saw this sketch over at Try Stampin’ or not On Tuesday –

…..and I decided to run with it. This is a wonderful sketch, after a flipped it for my design.

I had a thought of this combination. The Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Party Pop-Up Thinlits –

Right? It’s quite fun, isn’t it? Very party-like!

This Gold Foil is always a problem to photograph. I think you get the picture here though!

I decided to make the words stand out more by putting solid colored card stock behind them. It works really nice to make the point.

That whole panel, I popped up for a more dramatic effect. Even the balloons get to go a little ‘higher’. I painstakingly tied Baker’s Twine around each balloon on the next. The look is great. It’s just a challenge to do that, especially with the flatter ones!

The overall card is totally fun. A party on a card!

Although the card design was inspired by a sketch, the meaning was driven from an important milestone. My husband got another clean bill of health, six years out. Reason to celebrate. Reason to have a party on a card. Reason to feel blessed.

So. Now you have a sketch, a card and a reason. I’d love to read what you think of my card share today!

Just Tag It

I had a box of stuff that needed to mailed out. You know, one of those warm up winter boxes. I always like to include a little handmade somethin’ somethin’ in the box.

Instead of a card, I decided I’d make tags instead.

I used a new stamp set from the new occasions Mini catalog, Balloon Celebration. It was THE perfect choice! From the tags, you can guess just why and what was sent –

Aren’t they just the cutest?

After I stamped the Very Vanilla, I felt the tag needed a little extra ump……I thought the cupcake liner from the Cupcake Builder Punch would be just the right added touch. I just placed it upside down so the scallops were visible a little. A sweet little gold peek.

Those balloon strings…….I adhered the Baker’s Twine to the back of the balloons. To get the wavy string look, I glued it in place with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Tricky, but it can be done!

Now I can put these in the box and get it mailed.
