Whew! What a busy few weeks it’s been!
For the next few days, I’m joining up with Wacky Watercooler Stamping and their March Blog Hop, Fun Folds!
This is perfect for me because I love fun folds! Check out the ensemble I have created for this –
Fun Folds can be kind of tricky because it’s like reinventing the wheel. Most of these we have already seen. Except for one of the one I’m sharing today.
First off, have you ever heard of a Dutch fold? No, it’s not a new fold, but I received a swap using this fold and thought I’d share it –
Opened, it’s really cool –
The top flips up and the bottom two pieces swing open! Quite cool and fun!
The next one is called a Triangle Fold card –
Just a nifty little square until you open it –
May be hard to tell in the photo, but both flaps are folded back.
The last Fun Fold is one I created. I call it a mini Triple Accordion Fold. Mini because it’s finished size is 3 1/2 x 5. It will fit our note card sized envelopes!
And, when it’s opened it looks really cool and will stand on its own –
So, all of my cards opened –
For me, I liked going with the same card stock, DSP and sentiment. I really love how they came together!
I’d love to read your comments. As a blogger, I thrive on reading what you like about my projects!
Now, this is a ‘blog hop’. You can see many different creative designs by following the hop. You can click the next button to hop over to Marsha Reed, or click on any of the other participants if you have not been in order.
Libby, I like the fact you used the same theme to create your cards. Such, fun and great projects!
Thanks Marie! Glad you liked theme – I wasn’t to sure about it.
Libby, such creative projects! I love the trio of different balloon sizes and the way you did 3 different folds.
Thanks Jackie! Glad you liked the trio – it made for a sweet card! This was a great idea to create fun folds! We all like something different every now and then!
Awesome set of cards, Libby! I love how they’re coordinated, but they’re all so different. Great folds – and thanks for the new one!!
Thanks Buffy! I struggled a bit with this idea. In the end, I really liked it! Thanks for leaving a comment.
Great set of cards and such fun and challenging fancy folds. I like that you created the three cards in the same theme. The Dutch fold is a new one to me, so I’m going to try it out and see how it works. Thanks so much for sharing LIbby.
Thanks Penny for stopping to leave a comment! You don’t see that Dutch fold too often! And, the third one I haven’t seen at all!
Great birthday theme, Libby! I love your dutch fold, and I hope you do a tutorial on your unique Triple Accordion fold – I’d love to try it out!
Glad you liked the cards Deb! I’ll get a tutorial up this week. It’a an easy one!
HI Libby. You’ve really added fun and wow factor to some cool folds. Some may be traditional folds but that doesn’t lessen the impact they have in your creative hands. Wonderful to create them as a suite with similar papers and embellishments . You’ve sold me on the paper! And the folds!
Glad to see you in the Watercooler hop environment.
THANK YOU so much for the wonderful words! You totally made my day! I am glad you like the set of cards. Sorry I was an enabler of this paper – it really IS great!
