Happy Saturday – a day of creative sharing for me!

This is blog hop #1 for the day!

We will start with Create with Connie and Mary and our Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features birthday cards!!

What better new bundle to use than this one –

This is the So Much Happy bundle. And, it brings me soo much happy – just look at it!

I cut three of the HAPPY words out and spaced then on the card. I added strips of the new Magenta madness in between.

I loved adding the words as well on the strips. It just says it all.

Of course I had to add a little bow using the retired Baker’s Twine. Yes, I miss that stuff and use it all the time.

What do you think? Bold? Fun? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features masculine themed cards.

Since we are in full swing of a new catalog, I decided to show another new bundle. This tome, how about the Best Year Bundle –

The Best Year Bundle is the Best Year stamp set and the Best Plaid Dies. Yes, these are dies that make this nifty plaid background!

Here, I used Sahara Sand as a card base. The first layer of the plaid is the new In Color, Misty Moonlight. The thin top layer is Night of Navy. All together they make a pretty cool plaid card front!

The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Best Year. I used the Tasteful Labels to die cut both the the sentiment and flag.

The new 2020-2021 In Color Enamel Dots finish it off!

A nice masculine card I’d say. What do you think?

Happy Friday!

And, a happy first post as the new Stampin’ Up! catalog has gone live!

I love the Zany Zebra set and decided to play with it today.

This weeks Freshly Make Sketches caught my eye –

And added my touch of zebra –

It’s just a silly, fun card!

The border is the new Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper. I also used the new Tasteful Labels in Seaside Spray to ground the jumping zebra.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. There are no dies for these little guys, so fussy cutting was the way to go.

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

I thought playing around with some new embossing folders would be nice –

I embossed the three colors of card stock. The top, Coastal Cabana along with the Purple Posey, each use one of the folders in the Greenery Embossing Folder pair. The Night of Navy is embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. It really does look like wadded up paper!

I punched a piece of each of them using the Tailored Tag Punch. I arranged them on the front of the card then stamped the sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set in Night of Navy.

I felt the card still needed a little something so I stamped flowers from the same stamp set over the greeting in Purple Posy (ink no longer available).

It a pretty simple card, but took a while to design.

Wahoo! It’s here. It’s beautiful! The NEW 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! catalog!

This is the adorable sunflower pull up card –

I used all the new In Colors here! The post is Cinnamon Cider, the solid portion of the flower is Bumble Bee. The leaf is Just Jade stamped in Versamark. The sweet little bow is Magenta Madness. And, the sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight.

It even pulls up / out for the sentiment –

Soo sweet, right?

I did use a retired set of dies for the larger scalloped border.

Hello! Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank you for joining us today!

Our theme this month is floral.

Ok, pulling out more new Stampin’ Up! pre-order stuff!

I went with an elegant, simply stamped card –

However, it took me several tries to get just the right card.

I used the new Tasteful Touches stamp set for this card. I stamped the sentiment first, then the flowers. In trying to decide on a card design, I had already stamped and fussy cut one of these flowers. I used it to mask one flower to stamp another. That simple!

Note, if you are going to mask something, use a thinner lightweight paper. I used card stock and it was a bit thick here.

Joy of Sets May Floral Blog Hop

Welcome to my second hop for the day!

I decided to try my hand at another new bundle, Blossoms In Bloom, I just received –

What do you think? It’s soo pretty and really with minimal pieces, stamp and two dies for the layered flowers.

I stamped the flowers in Petal Pink on Whisper White for a crisp, bright color. The next flower layer was in Petal Pink, followed by the top, thin layer in Very Vanilla. It softened the flowers.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in Crumb Cake. I punched it down to size from the new Lovely Labels Pick A Punch (awesome punch that you can make several different sizes of labels from one punch).

Several new, pretty items on this card. What do you think?

Ornate Thanks

Happy Wednesday!

I just received the Ornate Garden Suite of products that will be in the new catalog in June. However, for the month of April, you can get the products early!

I was inspired to play with some of these products. I combined old and new and a layout challenge from TGIF Challenges –

Here is how I combined them –

B E A U T I F L !!!!!!

This card was quite simple as well! I die cut the border of flowers along a strip of Basic Black. That panel was adhered to a Daffodil Card Base, adding the Designer Series Paper and then the sentiment. Done.
