Hippity Hoppy Easter Favor – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Create with Connie and Mary blog hop day!

Our theme this week features Easter favors.

Perfect, as I made these sweet little Easter bunny treats for my co-workers and Card Buffet attendees on Sunday.

Aren’t these just too sweet? I originally saw these from a European demonstrator. I modified them to fit American nugget chocolates.

Super, super easy!

Bunny is a strip of designer series paper, 1 x 12. Score at 2, 5 1/4, 6 3/4 and 10. Nugget wrap is 1 x 3.
Use Tear & Tape on the ends, folding in, towards the center on the ends.
The two center score lines, fold towards each other.
On one of the ends, doesn’t matter which one, where the edge is adhered, apply another strip of Tear & Tape.
Stand bunny up, and adhere two ears together.
Wrap nugget and insert in bunny base.
Decorate. I used the Silver Baker’s Twine from the Spring mini to tie around the ears. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes punches with the Classic Label Punch. Pink flower is from the Petals & More atop the trimmed Leaf Punch

It took way longer to write out the directions than it did to whip up a batch of these! it’s a nice favor because you can use any kind of designer series or patterned paper you have on hand. Great for those scrap strips too!

I am so excited to go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown to see their Easter treats! I might be making even more treats for friends!!!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

I have been playing around with the Beautiful Day stamp set again. This time, I designed a card for try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our newest challenge –

These are the best sketches! Clean. Simple.

I designed this card –

It is quite similar to the one I created on Saturday.

I used the same colors, because these are great colors, and the same butterfly only in vellum here. I stamped the butterfly and let it dry. I turned it over and used the Stampin’ Write markers to color the sections on the wings. Flipped over, it gives it a stained glass effect. So pretty!

And, you guessed it, I did fussy cut the butterfly out. Again. Tip if you cut it out, cut out the antennae first. Its way easier.

We Create – January Blog Hop

Happy NEW YEAR and the second blog post for today!!!

This is another blog hop filled with ideas! This time, I’m hopping with We Create!

I am sooo excited to play with new stuff that will be available January 3!

I created two cards for the hop using the same layout and stepping one of them up.

I loved how this turned out! I started with the free Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Bubbles & Fizz and went with those colors to design the rest of the card. I used a new stamp from Birthday Wit for the focal point on the card. The Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins were a nice added touch! These are going to be a favorite of mine – I can already tell!

I took everything and added a little pizzaz –

Also and equally awesome card! The sentiment I stamped in the different colors and I cut them out to place over the existing stamped words.

I love both these cards! I think one of them I will feature on my January Card Buffet!

New Stuff – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Winding down the 2017 year! And, taking some much-needed ‘me’ time to create for Create with Connie and Mary and our Saturday blog hop.

Our theme this week is, NEW STUFF! As a (hobby or business) demonstrator, one of the perks is being able to order products a little earlier than non-demonstrators. It is an awesome perk! And, really awesome when you have time to actually use them! This time of year gets a bit challenging!

I used several things to create this ensemble –

This is a card box, labeled Celebrate Amazing You, in the upper left corner and three coordinating cards to fit in the box.

The box is a new box from the Lots to Love Framelits. The note cards are new as well and smaller at just 2 1/2 x 4 1/2. The are made specifically to go inside the box! How cool is that?
