Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I took these colors in a Halloween direction –

Even though we do not really have any pumpkin dies this year, I created pumpkins out of punches!

I used the Submarine Life and Bee Builder Punches for all these pumpkins cutting three shapes for each. I trimmed off everything creating ovals, except one per grouping to create a stem.

I used a pattern paper layer of the new Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper as a backdrop for my pumpkin grouping.

The sentiment is from the Potions & Spells stamp die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

This is a favorite pattern paper for me these days, the Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper. It is found in the Online Exclusives section of the online shopsite. I used one of the sketches in the Annual Catalog on page 22 for the layout for my card to show off this pretty pattern.

I also added some coordinating die cuts from the Golden Greenery Dies from card stock and one of the patterns in the pack.

The big bold ‘friend’ is a wonderful contrast against the varying shades of greens.

I started off with this cute pattern paper, To Market Designer Series Paper. The I thought the shopping cart was a great addition with all the produce!

We recently experienced a loss of all the refrigerator contents as a result of hurricane Beryl last week. Produce was hard to come by as many stores were running on limited power. As soon as it came back, I went on a mission to restock all my moms produce! So, yes, that is how these items go together!

I started with the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper –

I made a card layout first for the different sizes and pieces. Following the sketch, I filled in with the Designer Series Paper. I stamped some clouds and a sentiment from the Adventurous Sky stamp set. It coordinates with the paper.

I started with the Them Bones Designer Series Paper. Using several of the patterns.

I stamped the Mr. Bones and decided to give him the beret, neck scarf, and mustache – nice as they are all on one stamp!

Yes! Isn’t this just the sweetest birthday card????

Hello there Happy Birthday Friend

This gem will fit into a regular envelope too as it is a 4″ x 5 1/2″ sized card.

Tips : The die cut flowers were adhered only on the flower stems and flower centers so they’d pop out a bit. The flower centers on the Designer Series Paper were colored in using a black Sharpie (because it was on the table next to this project).

Our theme to start off the month is anything showing gratitude.

I make a gratitude journal every year around this time. Here is the one for this year – libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Fond of Autumn Bundle, Fond of Autumn, Autumn Bouquet Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Pearl Basic Jewels, Gratitude Journal, We Create, We Create Blog Hop

Simply elegant!

I used the Fond of Autumn bundle for the focal point and the modified sentiment on a small notebook found online.

The leaves and acorns were colored with various Stampin’ Blends. This piece was actually left over from a previous card as the die can make multiple cuts from the larger focal point. Win – win! 

I did partial stamping for the sentiment and added the dots. This is a fitting sentiment for some special thought for the month, or anytime.

 A Crumb Cake circle grounds the focal image and makes it stand out.

The Pearl basic Jewels were the right addition to soften everything. These are more of a cream / beige color and go well with the Very Vanilla card stock.

All these elements could easily be placed on a card with beautiful results as well.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our current color / layout challenge –

I took a funny approach with this layout –

It is a window card! I used a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies to create the largest circle, then a smaller Real Red circle.

This adorable squirrel was stamped and colored (over the stamping) with Blends. For the body, I went over everything with Ivory. For the nut, I used the Light Crumb Cake. By going over the stamping, it filled in the areas that were a bit splotchy. Plus, it gave his tummy a more realistic coloring.

I then hand cut the squirrel.

‘Hey There’ was a nice sentiment for th outside, with ‘NUTS about you’ for thee inside, under the Real Reed circle on the outside. It’s just too cute!

I placed the ‘thanks’ on one of the leaves from the Leaf Label & Amber Gems. The little included gems make a nice embellishment for this.

My inside panel and the circle on the outside are both Very Vanilla, although the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper has a white background. The vanilla softens the overall look.

Happy Wednesday!

We’ve made friends with our squirrels outside. We can hand feed them! They also come running down the tree when we go outside or come home. So why not celebrate with a card?

This is just adorable as can be! I used the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set for the squirrels here on the card. Yes, I cut them by hand!

This is a great go-to sketch! I decided to create a card for an upcoming swap I joined, QC Swappers! I created 14 of these!

More specifically, this was designed for a Sale-a-Bration swap.  That’s right, Sale-a-bration will be here in July! The camper is from the Tree Lot dies that you can earn free. And, it just as cute as can be!

Just how perfect is this basket ‘apples’ to show off shades of red?

I used the Cherry Builder Punch to make these ‘apples’. Did you notice? The stems I trimmed and used them inverted. The leaves are also from the punch.

The adorably detailed basket is from the Full Basket Dies. So is the sweet little cloth folded over the basket. I used the soon-to-retire Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper for it, and the pattern background here.

Gorgeous, right? I just love how how all the details in the flower just pop! Yes, after stamping, I cut it out by hand, or fussy cut it. 

I placed it on a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
