Hello Stampers!

Thank you for joining us today!

Our theme to start off the month is anything showing gratitude.

I make a gratitude journal every year around this time. Here is the one for this year – libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Fond of Autumn Bundle, Fond of Autumn, Autumn Bouquet Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Pearl Basic Jewels, Gratitude Journal, We Create, We Create Blog Hop

Simply elegant!

I used the Fond of Autumn bundle for the focal point and the modified sentiment on a small notebook found online.

The leaves and acorns were colored with various Stampin’ Blends. This piece was actually left over from a previous card as the die can make multiple cuts from the larger focal point. Win – win! 

I did partial stamping for the sentiment and added the dots. This is a fitting sentiment for some special thought for the month, or anytime.

 A Crumb Cake circle grounds the focal image and makes it stand out.

The Pearl basic Jewels were the right addition to soften everything. These are more of a cream / beige color and go well with the Very Vanilla card stock.

All these elements could easily be placed on a card with beautiful results as well.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our current color challenge –

I created a sweet, floral card –

I love how beautiful the True Beauty bundle really is! For the main flowers here, I inked up in Orchid Oasis and stamped on a piece of scrap paper, then stamped again for these flowers before dies cutting them. It made this nice light color.

The flowers peeking in the back were stamped and die cut full Orchid Oasis. Makes a nice pop of vivid color behind the lighter flowers.

My card base is Very Vanilla for a softer look. The diamond background is die cut in Basic White. I like how it just highlights it. Honestly, this is exactly why I bought this dies set. This is a favorite die of mine.

Since the colors are somewhat subtle, this Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon is a nice pop! Sentiment is from the same stamp set. However, the tag is from the Tailor Made Tags. A great must have set of dies!

What do you think? Not my typical style of card, but, oh so lovely!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

We are still CASing the catalog. Here is out latest challenge –

I used the new Prized Peony Bundle in my take of this sketch –

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.

My card base and embossed panel are Sahara Sand, a great neutral. The ‘sprigs’ behind the Very Vanilla peony are from the Forever Flouring Dies in Gray Granite.

I added a pinkish strip of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to tie in the colors.

This stunning flower is rather easy to assemble as all the petal a have a similar shaped bottom to make lining them up easy. Each one is inserted into one another.

Oooohhhhh, perfect time to play with new items from the upcoming holiday mini!

How about this? Lovely, right? I think I will get lots of use of this set during the holidays!

I put the CHEERS sentiment on my Stamparatus and just kept inking, stamping and moving! After I finished the CHEERS, I added the TO YOU & YOURS in between.

So the greeting stays the focal point, I added two champagne glasses from the Sip Sip Hooray stamp set on the edge of the stamped panel. The tiny pearls add a flair to the glasses.

I’m looking forward to creating with these sets again! Soo many possibilities!

Techno Christmas

I think this might be my first Christmas card of the season…….not sure!

I’m creating cards for my Card Buffet this weekend and decided to throw a couple of Christmas cards in the mix. Maybe this will be one of them.

My starting point was a challenge. Surprised? I thought not.

This comes from Techno Stamper. The Monday Lunchtime Sketch.

A nice, clean design. Easy to work with. I went straight to the Trim the Tree DSP Paper Stack. Love these little packs of paper! SO many choices.

I was in an earthy mood, so I chose the these coordinating browns. Actually, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand. I added the Cherry Cobbler base for a pop of color. And, because it looked really nice. Effortless.

Simple to the sketch. So, this may or may not make the Buffet. We will see how the creative thought process goes.

I really liked the simplicity of this card. It would be very easy to reproduce in quantities.

Simple, Hi

Purple. Simple. Hi! Feeling a little purple today? Nah, just another color challenge.

I am playing along with two this morning. My color palette, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Basic Grey, for this card comes from Nacho Average Challenge, #144. And, the lovely layout, which I rotated, comes from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday, #116.

Now, go check them out and come back.

Nice combination of the two, huh? I think so. Clean and simple. Not a lot of fluff. And, who doesn’t love a card just because?

To get me going, I pulled all the colors of this sketch. I had a pencil drawing of the sketch. I just started playing around. Sometimes designs turn out the first go around, and other times, not so much. I liked my card after the first attempt and just left it alone.

This was my first time to use the Raining Flowers stamp set. Not one of my favorite sets and I’m not even sure why I have it (I bet you can relate to that on a few of the stamp sets you have, huh?), but, I’m happy to challenge myself to use something I haven’t before. I paired it with one of my favorite, well used sets, Fabulous Phrases.
