Hello, my Saturday friends! Today is Create with Connie and Mary blog hop day!

Our theme this week is Celebrating Love.

Perfect – as Valentine’s Day is this coming Wednesday. That’ll give you time recreate my card –

Isn’t this adorable? Can you guess who I made it for??

At my January Card Buffet, I featured this Bridge Fold style card as one of the choices. I decided it’d be perfect for a little Instax photo and a Valentine card. And, just THE right card for our Celebrating Love theme this week.

I started by using a 4 1/4 x 8 strip of card stock, scored at 1 1/4 and 2 1/2, from each end. Then I simply followed the basic directions for these cards.

This will be a nice surprise as it folds flat in a standard envelope!

I’m Yours, Be Mine

Hello my stampin friends!

I designed a card for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our new sketch challenge –

Challenge #354.

We are adding color combinations to our mix of challenges!

I added the theme of love with this card –

……and, these cute little animals! They are from Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.

Isn’t is sweet?? I started with the two animals which I fussy cut. The heart I stamped in Flirty Flamingo onto the Powder pink card stock. I added to stamped hearts with the phrases and decided to emboss the background.

I just kept adding elements until it felt right. I love the results, don’t you?

Sure Do Love You

Happy Tuesday! I created a card for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday today.

We have a new sketch every week, but we create on a team every other week. I just loved our sketch this week and wanted to join in the fun –

I just had to play along! Isn’t this a great layout to follow?

I pulled out some Sale-a-bration Designer Paper, Bubbles & Fizz, and started creating from there. Next thing you know, I had made this –This was a lot of fun to put together. I used The Layering Circles Framelits along with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits (hearts) and cut the Basic Grey circle out. I also cut a heart from Smoky Slate as well.

I stamped the sentiment and added a small piece of ribbon shimmer ribbon underneath it. Simply done. I layered everything on the Smokey Slate card base.

Valentines – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is Valentine.

This is a perfect time to get working on little notes and treats from the heart for your loved ones!

I have been wanting to play around with a nifty fun fold I saw from Julie Davison, a double flap card. She has a tutorial! It was a great time to incorporate some new Designer Series Paper and try out her idea –

The card is very sweet from the outside. Open the right flap –

Open the left flap. This is where you’d write your sentiment!

I love how the colors are Valentine-ish, but, not too much. The orange card stocks tone it down a bit.

This will be featured on my Card Buffet this weekend – I can’t wait! It will be a hit.

I used a new Designer Series Paper, Painted with Love Specialty, notice the gold in it? It’s very pretty! The images are stamped. And yes, they are sort of edgy the way they are stamped to! I love this!

I think this is going to be a great set to have!
