Peek-a-boo with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome stampers!

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features peek-a-boo cards, or cards that show the inside of the card from the outside.

I created an adorable shaker card –

…and the inside of the card –

The flap is totally back in the picture as I forgot to add the acetate sheet inside my clear envelope. Grumble. Luckily, the card still works!

I started with the retiring Bee Mine Designer Series Paper. I combined it with the adorable Fluffiest Friends Bundle (found in the Online Exclusives). There are no sentiments in the stamp set so I added a perfect one from the Bee My Valentine.

I colored the cutie bear with Blends. I don’t have the Sweet Sorbet Blends so I used Poppy Parade and lightened it with the Color Lifter! I bet you didn’t even notice!

This is just as sweet as can be and can not wait to find the perfect person to send it too!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest challenge –

Optional Theme : Slimline Card

These are a favorite of mine too!

Since I was on a shaker kick yesterday, how about a slim one today?

So fun wouldn’t you say!?!?

My finished card is 7″ x 6″, scored at 3 1/2″. It is a ‘mini slim’ size. It will fit into a personal check sized envelope.

I cut my Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper 3″ x 5 1/2″ and slipped it into a Medium Clear Envelope. Before sealing it up, I added some of the fun Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles for the shaker bits.

On the outside, I added three fussy cut ice cream cones from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.

I am just having soo much fun with these cards!

Here is what I did with one of the images –

I made a shaker card!!! Out of toilet paper rolls!!! Soo stinkin’ cute!

I just kept copying the rolls until I got enough and then fussy cut them out!

This card made you chuckle a little didn’t it?

Ha, that’s me!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today at Watercooler Wednesday, as you can see, I’m the host for this weeks challenge! Yippee!

I decided to go with a sketch to spark your creativity!

Pretty fun sketch, I’d say!

I decided to create a shaker card –

Isn’t this cute????

It’s quite nifty in that I used one of our clear envelopes to hold the contents of the shaker card. This makes creating one really easy!!!!

My shakers pieces are from a couple of the patterns in the Designer Series Papers – one had cake slices all over it, the other was rows of candles. Both, I meticulously cut out. Yes, my hand did get a little tired after a while! I also threw in some gold sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim too!

It’s a really fun, upbeat card perfect for anyone!

Oh Tuesday. You come around so often!

Time for Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday sketch challenge!

Challenge #275. Theme : Sun and Shore.

Fail. No sun. No shore.

Winner. I have this little cutie –

Yes – ANOTHER shaker card!! Made with this ADORABLE little frog from the hostess set, Love You Lots.

When opened, look at this –

He is just too C U T E !! I used my blender pen filled with alcohol and an ink pad to color him. Then, I cut him out. He actually adhered to the inside of the card.

The outside sentiment was also stamped and cut out. It’s popped up on a dimensional. Wow factor, you know.

I love these colors together as well. So bright. So fun. Great guy card even with the pink!

The second of three post this morning! Whew! New stuff too!!!

It’s Watercooler Wednesday time!

This time, we have a great sketch by Marsha –

Once I got my preorder in – finally – I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this sketch! I wanted to make another shaker card –

Isn’t this awesome!?!? I loved how it just ‘pops’ with happiness! It’s these colors I think.

It’s a generous 5 x 5 peek-through one too.

Closed again, you can see those wonderful Swirly Scribbles Framelits little flowers!

Such a sweet card for Marsha’s sketch! I really liked how the shaker moves. Such fun to play with. You should see what the other design team created at Watercooler Wednesday too – some great stuff!

It time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge this week.

And, this is just the sweetest!

Here is the challenge this week. Colors.

Aren’t they ‘sweet’? See what I did with the such sweetness –

I created an adorable little baby shaker card! I really liked the horizontal lines on the front DSP contrasted with the vertical ones on the inside. It looks really cool.

Another view. I created a window with my shaker pieces in between.

The (slightly crooked) stamping shows through.

All the fun stuff moves freely about when ~~played with~~ opened!

Shakin’ It Up a Bit

So, I got inspired by a magazine article about organizing a craft space. I’ve been so wrapped it cleaning and purging that I haven’t spent a lot of time paper crafting – and, yikes I have a Card Buffet next weekend.

I’m all over the map. I’ve halted the purge – sad face – and started working on cards for next weekend.

I had a few requests this month. One for a shaker card. I am really great at designing these, it’s just my execution or something. They shake for a while and then…..then no more shakin’. The pieces don’t want to move about. Sad face.
