Today is my daughter’s birthday!

This silver doily really make this card! And, makes it hard to photograph! Ugh….but, you get the idea here.

Looking closely, you can see that the inside of the card matches the outside too!

The finishing touch was the bow!

Congratulations on Your Retirement

I bet my hubs was hoping this was for him. Like a sign or something!

This was another requested card for my May Card Buffet this past weekend. Great idea it is. And, Stampin’ Up even has a retirement stamp too!

I came up with this –

Wonderfully cheery card I’d say!

I’ve been seeing this lovely Sunburst Framelit used to make flowers – I wanted to try it. I thought it was a good idea to show my customers another use for this framelit too. It was perfect for this card!

I see more of these fun flowers in my future! The are just so happy!

I slightly curled the edges for added dimension off the card front and set the layers a little off as well.

Sadly, these Circles Collection framelits are retiring. So, we will have to use another circle to make these.

I just thought it was quick and easy. The stamp set came from the April Paper Pumpkin, All About Everything. It was the bonus stamp set. It is awesome!

Simple elements came together to create this. Almost as if came it from the stash of ‘will use later pieces’! It just goes to show you – get creative and USE your stuff!

Hello, Birthday Boy, Birthday Girl

This is a Sale-a-Bration set that will no longer available as of February 15. This is one of my favorites this year too! I think it’s a must have!

When I stamped my samples, I forgot to use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat – it REALLY makes a different! The image is not too sharp.

This is really a simple design using DSP and, you guess it, Metallic Foil Doilies! Tip, I cut the doily in half to get a nice placement behind the sentiment.

I used the note card set and the In Color Envelope Paper.

The Metallic Foil Doilies accent the sentiments. But, the Real Red circle gives the cards that punch. These are gender neutral too, you think?

Now, this is the inside of the emptied card holder. The pockets are nice for a personal note or even stamps!

I will admit, this is not my original idea for the note card holder folio. It came from pattystamps. She has a great tutorial too.

Janice, my co-worker will just love this gift! I’ve made her several other things and I’ve got her interest in paper crafting. After this gift, I’ll see here at my next class. Happy Birthday, Janice! It’s a special one!

I love this one because of the sentiment. It’s perfect for anyone over the age of 29! I did add the Metallic Foil Doily to this version. Where as here, I did not. I like the doily. It adds even more emphasis on the age!

Bursting with Sunshine

Bursting with sunshine – quite accurate for this card! I made this card shortly after I got this Sunburst Thinlits Die in. It’s one of my favorite items from the Occasions Mini.

I had it and a few other cards in a basket at the Card Buffet. Just about everyone picked it and loved it! Maybe this will be on next months Buffet?

I cut the rays from the Sale-a-Bration DSP, Perfectly Artistic. It has sort of a watercolor look on one side of the paper. The Metallic Foil Doily adds a nice addition to highlight the focal point. And, of course, this ‘hello’ really stands out.

This was the first version of the card.

I tweaked it a bit. Either is nice!

Now, it’s cloudy here. This card is some faux, much-needed sunshine!

Bright Brotherly Birthday

Got a quick share as I’m working this deadline…..

I really like these colors at Always Playing with Paper.

Bright. Fun. Masculine. It’s perfect because my brother has his birthday in a few days.

I decided to play around with this new Party Pop Up Thinlits Dies. I decided to go simple here. It is after all, for my brother. No frill needed.

See, simple to the point. I liked the added layers of the cake.

The gold foil circle was hard to photograph. In person, it’s really a nice addition to the card. It make the candles stand out.

This is a fun card that took no time at all to create. And, there’s NO stampin’ here. Well, on the inside there is……These new dies are totally fun!

They are quickly becoming a favorite!

That’s how I describe this card from my Annual Christmas Card Class –

I love it. I wanted to show off this fun red Pompom Trim in a different way. Holly berries – why not?

The card is a little thicker, but the results are pretty!

And, you can’t go wrong with the addition of foil doily or the bold stamping of, JOY either.

Being a crafty person I go from class planning to card challenges to playing with the cat.

The Card Buffet I will post on Facebook later.

I can share another challenge I played around with though. It’s for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.

I really liked the layout. Several of the inspiration cards already displayed are really nice too. I was drawn to this for some reason.

I have a couple of packs of this Go Wild paper and never seem to design anything for my classes. I came up with this for the challenge –
