Here are my challenge colors. I’m sad to see these colors leave, aren’t you? So, I say, let’s play with them a bit longer!

Did you find all five? They are subtly placed!

Obvious is the cups, hearts and washi tape border. The stamping ties in the other two colors without the card being overworked. Don’t you agree?

My nifty sentiment is from the April Paper Pumpkin. It was from the extra stamp set, All About Everything. The banner is from the Large Numbers Framelits. Yes, it came with a banner stamp and framelit too!

Coffee To-Go Mom?

This week seems to be all about mom. You know, making card for those who’ve made someone a mom or our friends who are great moms, and of course – our own moms!

I had this card on my last Card Buffet in April –

Simple and fun! Great for mass production – like our friends!

Isn’t this clever? Because who doesn’t like coffee or tea or hot chocolate?

I mimicked where the outer band was on the inside for the gift card holder. The top ‘lid’ is popped up on dimensionals so the front flap slides underneath to keep it closed.

I’ve made these years ago and more recently at a friends stamp class. I even created this one for a Design Team challenge card. They are just lots of fun to make!

Tears for Tea-riffic

I say tear because this extremely popular stamp set, A Nice Cuppa, and the Cups & Kettle Framelits are retiring after just a short run in the Stampin’ Up Mini Catalog. In fact, the framelits have sold out and are no longer available. Womp. Womp. Womp.

I was on the fence about getting this product suite. I pondered it and didn’t order it until recently. But, once I did, I have made several cards with them. My favorite framelits are the coffee cup and the silverware.

It’s a sweet card. Perfect for anyone!

I like the little tea bag and how it just ‘hangs’. Well, it’s really secured with a Dimensional.

The DSP here, Have a Cuppa, was not my favorite, but here I loved it! The colors are just not my style in the 6×6 stack – but, I wanted the whole collection!

This was a popular card and I only had a few left after two classes!  I guess I’ll make those up and send those out! They’re in demand now!

I hope you were fortunate enough to get these framelits before they sold out. Maybe with enough pleading, they will be brought back!

To Go Gift Card Holder, CCMC402

It’s my second week sharing my creations as a Design Team member for Create with Connie and Mary!

This week we have a color challenge for you –

Some really nice colors, including the soon to retire, Lost Lagoon.

I have been on a gift card kick lately and today is no different. This one is really, really cute –

The medallion in the center has a little spoon behind the sentiment! Isn’t that just the sweetest?

I thought it added just the right little detailing!

Speaking of detailing, since we no longer have that contraption that would make paper look waffled, I used my Simply Scored here. I scored every quarter of an inch. Flipped it and scored every quarter of an inch again. It made tiny mountain and valleys. And, that’s sort of like waffling, right?

When you open up the card, it flips down and the gift card slides in the interior sleeve!

And, yes, another little silverware! It goes with the sentiment ‘and eat cake’ quite well!

Wouldn’t you just love to receive this little sweet gift card holder? I know I would.

I needed to make some swap cards and I needed some direction with new stuff I got in.

I found two challenges that inspired me.

One is the colors from Fab Friday –

Rehearsal Dinner

I had the honor of being asked to make something for my friends sons upcoming wedding. Just one of those little extra details……

These are rehearsal dinner name tags! Although, everyone probably knows everyone – it was just an added touch that she wanted have. I loved the way they turned out! Elegant and Sweet.
