Freshly Made Banana Split

Wahoo! It’s Friday!

I’ve been playing around with paper and framelits again! This time, I was inspired by Freshly made Sketches –

When I saw this sketch, I immediately thought of a banana split –

So, I created one out of framelits! It is just darling!

I used the Call Me Cupcake icing shape for the ‘chocolate’, ‘vanilla’ and ‘strawberry’ ice cream scoops!

The banana is the largest Layering Ovals Framelits, cut twice. I cut one oval, then moved the framelit over to cut a portion or sliver of the oval creating a ‘banana shape’.

I also used the cupcake pedestal from the Call Me Cupcake framelits to create the bowl base. I placed on top a strip of Gray Granite to resemble a bowl. I used the Detailed Trio to round the corners, creating a more bowl-like shape.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

I am soo excited about the new Sale-a-bration coordinating products that just got released on March 1st!

Here, I am using the new Call Me Cupcake framelits –

Simply adorable! I used the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper for the cupcake parts! Any Designer Series Paper would work.

Directions –

card base, Crumb Cake 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
Petal Pink 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
DSP strip 1/2 x 4 3/4 (it gets placed on top of Petal Pink all the way to left)
adhere to card front
small DSP pieces/scraps for icing, cupcake liner
Vellum for cloche
Petal Pink piece/scrap for cake (in between liner and icing)
Night of navy piece/scrap for stand
adhere liner BEHIND stand along stand edge
adhere cloche behind liner along stand
add cake shape
add icing
adhesive can be placed behind cupcake to not show through Vellum, adhere to petal pink
adhere panel to card front
punch hole punch, adhere to top of cloche, it’ll keep it adhered down
stamp and punch sentiment
adhere sentiment, it’ll hide the extra/shadow on the liner
Done!

I featured this card on my February Card Buffet. It sold out fast! I’ll have it on the March Card Buffet again for those who didn’t get to create one.

Our theme this month we are CASEing another card using Sale-a-bration products –

My CASE for this is quite ribbiting –

Lol! Wouldn’t you agree??

I used three different Sale-a-Bration items to create this card.

Both of the black and white pattern papers are from the Botanical Butterfly. The frogs are from So Hoppy Together (fussy cut of course!) and the sentiment stamp set is Hello Cupcake.

All put together with some punches! I think this turned out fabulous!

Create with Connie and Mary – Saturday Blog Hop – How Sweet It Is

Welcome to our first Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop of 2019!

Our themes for the next few weeks will feature love / musical themes. This week it will be How Sweet It Is.

I used the Hello Cupcake Sale-a-Bration stamp set again creating this beauty –

The card base is Real Red, with a layer of Flirty Flamingo, just for fun, and the Sale-a-Bration black and white Designer Series Paper, Botanical Butterfly.

Both cupcake parts were stamped and fussy cut. I added extra icing for this card. Those were all placed on a Stitched Shapes oval and one of the scalloped Layering Ovals

The ‘love’ come from the new, wonderful, Well Written Framelits. A favorite of mine! That was placed on one of the framelits in the Needlepoint Elements. It was scored to create some dimension.

I SO love this card and can not wait to send it out!

I was drawn to the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Hello Cupcake and created this –

A very sweet card that’s just sprinkled with love!

I stamped the cupcake icing and sprinkles, then fussy cut it. Next was stamping the sentiment, then the cupcake liner.

As I created this card, I added additional stamping layers until I got it just the way I liked it.
