Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our current layout challenge lasting two weeks –

I enjoyed this challenge and just making some cards! Here is why –

This layout is perfect for making multiple cards at once!

I used four different patterns of an upcoming Sale-a-bration paper, Sunshine & Rainbows.

I used a new stamp set, Rainbow of Happiness. This sentiment was a partial stamp! I just did not ink up ‘happy’ as I used a die cut instead.

Combined with a retiring die set, Christmas Cheer. I am quite bummed this is retiring – I’ve used this ‘happy’ soo much. Best thing, it is on sale!!! Get it before it is gone for these cards!

Lastly, the rainbow was hand cut from one of the patterns in the paper.

To make all these cards at once, I started with 4 sheets of Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 3 3/4″, being mindful of the pattern direction on the paper . I cut at 1 1/2″ for the left strip, then rotated the whole piece, cutting at 1 1/4″. I made a template first before delving into the good paper, lol!

Welcome Monday!

How about a new challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to start your week off creativity!?!?

I went with a Christmas card for this challenge –

I used the Words Of Cheer bundle –

I stamped the focal point image using the Stamparatus to get a nice eevenly stamped image. I used a combination of stamps and Stampin’ Blends to color the floral image. Then I did the unthinkable – I cut the image in half to space it apart for the sentiment. If not, it would have covered most of it up!

Such a pretty card! I love these colors together! They are soo pretty!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest layout to challenge you –

I had such fun with this layout!

And, yes, I used the Christmas Cheer Dies again! Three times here!

I started with a piece of 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper in Polished Pink on a Very Vanilla card base.

I placed the same color strips on top. I trimmed them after they were adhered down.

I adhered the other die cut panel. Then I placed those three die cuts on a shape from the Stockings Dies.

Lastly, I added why I was so happy! Lol, birthday seemed appropriate for the cheery, fun card!

Welcome Wednesday my stampin friends!

On Wednesdays we have a new challenge at Make The Cards Challenge! Here is our newest inspiration to get you creating –

A Slim or Mini Slim card!

I went with Mini Slim, 3 1/2″ x 6″, finished. I also went with the Christmas Cheer Dies again –

Such a sweet, no pun intended, card!

I love this Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper –

I used it for the strip at the bottom, plus the two mitten gingerbread cookies.

The sentiment ‘happy’ is a die cut from the Christmas Cheer Dies. The top. partial stamped image is from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set, and the Christmas is from the Snowman Season stamp set, also a partial stamped image.

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our newest two week challenge to inspire you –

Optional Theme : Script / Text

Yes, I am featuring the Christmas Cheer Dies again today –

And, I was feelin’ the 70’s here in my fall card –

Right? 70’s vibe here!

I started with creating this larger pumpkin by cutting 3 pumpkins from the Detailed Pumpkins Dies. I removed two stems from the outer pumpkins and stacked the center one on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a cut stem and a leaf from the Gift Giving Dies. The bow was just what the pumpkin needed to complete it!

I cut three ‘happy’ pieces and also glued them together to create a thick, firm piece.

I placed all these on a groovy pattern from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper

It just morphed into a groovy, fun, fall card as I added each element!

I used the purple part of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper for the ‘happy’ die!

They are so cute!

The eyes and sentiment are from the coordinating stamp set, Cutest Halloween –

I went with the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper as my focal point –

It makes for a lovely card –

It’s is so fun and cheerful!

I used a couple dies for the sentiment. The ‘happy’ is from Christmas Cheer Dies –

I cut three and stacked them for a thicker, bolder look. (When I decide who I’m giving the card to, I’ll a finishing sentiment to the inside.)

Behind the sentiment is a die cut tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies –

This card will make a great birthday, anniversary, wedding – anything card! It is just peachy, lol!

Fun Fold Fridays – Spanner Card

Happy Friday my stampin’ friends!

Sorry I missed last week – sometimes it happens.

I usually create by the seat of my pants – aka – last minute – and this week is no different.

I’m prepping for a Card Buffet this weekend and was looking for one more card to feature……well, will it be this clever fun fold?

This is the card flat.

As you open it…..

….and again!

I had never seen this fold before! It is called a Spanner Card! Yes, Spanner! As in ‘span across’, because that is what this card does.

I was like WOW ! And, I just had to try it.

It is very simple and starts with a regular card base of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.

The clever part comes in when you cut from the scored line, on the same side, 1 1/4″ from each end. This creates 3 flaps from the front piece.

I added a strip of a Window Sheet across the top of the card only adhering it to the outer flap / strip portion. When I added my Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper strips, it covers the adhesive!

I used another piece of DSP on the middle flap. And, that same pattern on the inside of the cards outer edges (see when fully opened).

I used the coordinating gold stripe piece on each of the sides on the front. It is also in the same pack of paper.

The beauty of this card is the gold foil ‘happy’ on the top and middle pieces. It is from a new holiday set, Christmas Cheer –

I think I bought this just for the large ‘happy’ and ‘cheer’ words themselves!

I advise adhering the middle ‘happy’ first, then the top one over it to line it up perfectly. The top one is only adhered on the edges so the glue would not show when opened.

I already have a special birthday in mind for this card! She will love it as she always gives me over the top cards!
