The colors are soo reminiscent of Christmas for me, reds and greens.

The sentiment is simple, but meaningful. Christmas To Remember has lots of great sentiments for cards, outside, and inside. It can be found in the large catalog and is available until May.

I decided on a fun, monochromatic Christmas card –

I am not sure what I like more – this pattern from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper, or this Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder. Both are so fun and festive!

I added the ornament from the Decorated Pine Dies in contrasting colors for a nice pop of color on the card.

I can not tell you how many times I stamped this sentiment and it still wasn’t the best. Don’t you hate when that happens? I guess I should have pulled out my Stamparatus for this to get a nice stamped image.

I will certainly have friends this card will be perfect for during the holiday season. What are your preferences?

For the next several weeks, we have a real treat for you. We will be CASEing (copy and share everything) each designer on the blog hop!

This week, we are all CASEing Mary Brown. We each get to choose a card we like, copy the layout and the colors, but add stamps and dies from the July – December Mini catalog.

I chose to CASE this simply gorgeous monochromatic card –

Soo pretty! I love these colors for a non-traditional Christmas card!

I chose nifty Spruced Up bundle as my stamp set and the Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder for the three embossed pieces.

These Spruced Up Outlines Dies are cool that you can create an outline if you’d like, used the center portion stamped or plain. I chose the outline to mimic Mary’s card.

The stamps are photopolymer making stamping the two words for the sentiment very easy. It turned out soo pretty!

I do not have the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks, so I used the Wonderful Snowflakes instead! All I needed was one because they are so generous in size! And, iridescent too!

Watercolor Wednesday 129 – Libby’s All About Christmas Challenge

It’s Christmas in July for Watercooler Wednesday.

…..and, it’s also my hosted challenge!

I had a Card Buffet last Sunday and one of the favorite cards was a watercolor card. I decided to use the idea and create a Christmas card with this technique –

To create this lovely background, I damped the watercolor paper generously. I took one of our blocks and inked it up running it across the wet watercolor paper creating a nifty effect when dried. I used Real Red and Emerald Envy.

Once dried, I stamped the circles from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. The sentiment is from Oh, What Fun.

Simple. Quick. Fun.

Christmas Card Class for 2013

What a late post, huh? I know, I know – I spent too much time on the Clearance Rack Blitz today!

Not really. But, I did go and catch some of the fabulous deals.

I’ve just been really busy. Shortly before Thanksgiving, I held my first ever, Christmas Card Class. One low price for some high styled cards. See the spread below.

I had such a great time designing these. That is truly where I get my thrill as a demonstrator – designing my own cards (and projects). These were no different. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting these individually.
