Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary weekly challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

love, Love, LOVE these colors!

I seriously could not decide how to use them – soo many great choice!

I decided to go with a #simplestamping card –

I pulled out the Bloom by Bloom stamp set and decided what flowers I wanted to use in what colors.

Then, I started stamping! I stamped three different patterns before this one was THE one.

The various flowers were stamped starting with the largest flower. The other two flowers I used to stamp around the large flower. Lastly, I added the little dots to fill in the white areas. That’s all it needed.

The hard part was finding a sentiment to fit the lower area. It didn’t take long. And, this was not planned. But, this sentiment from Birthday Cheer fit perfectly!!! And, it was in the Stamparatus ready to be used!

I decided pretty quick to place the stamped layer on a Mango Melody base. It makes the card just pop!

Combined with the Birthday Cheer stamp set, it makes for a sweet birthday card!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Watercolor Background

Hello! Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a Watercolored Background.

Watercoloring is a challenge for me, so this is good.

I used Brusho to create the two backgrounds. I used the same technique to create two very different looks.

Directions –

top, more solid colored piece –
clear Block E
spritz gernerously with water
sprinkle Brusho Crystals on top, let spread & dissolve a bit
place Watercolor paper on top and smear around
lift, look, repeat if needed
let dry
back piece, spotted –
spritz once or twice lightly
sprinkle Brusho Crystals on top
place Watercolor paper on top and pat
lift, look, repeat if necessary
let dry
use dried pieces on card

Tip : to get a nice, clear, dark stamped image, use the Stamparatus for stamping. It can be reinked repeatedly until the image looks nice and dark.

I’m sure Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown will have some great watercolor background samples for us!
