Hello my Friday friends!

July is a third over and I’m creating and sharing something everyday because it’s my birthday month!

I was inspired by this sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches –

I am also designing cards for my upcoming Card Buffet.

This might be a winner here –

A beautiful sunflower! The center part is a flap!

It lifts up to write the inside greeting! How cool is that?!?! It’s embossed on the one, top, half the strip.

I love this card. A lot! It does use several of products though…..Most items are obvious (I think), please ask if you can’t figure something out.

I will say, the scalloped center of the sunflower is stamped using one of the stamps from the Artisan Textures.

A little tip for this card, the Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper is actually 1″ strips along the outer portion of the card. That paper has only a few sheets in the pack. This way, it will go further!

Country Belated Birthday

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

I decided to play around with the inking of an embossing folder again.

Here, I used So Saffron card stock and So Saffron ink along with the Country Floral embossing folder.

I inked up the inside of the folder that has the black line and black Stampin’ Up! logo. I placed the card stock on the other side of the folder, then closed it and ran it through the Big Shot. So pretty! And, a different look using the same color ink as card stock.

I added a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays. From time to time we are late sending out birthday cards. We need these kind of cards too!

Today Blooms Just for You!

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge! This is the first of three posts today!! Yes, I’ve been very busy!

Here is our newest challenge –

I created a simply fun fall birthday card using the sketch –

Nice, right? I used two different Designer Series Papers, the back, wood-look one is from Country Lane and the kraft pattern on top is from the Share What You Love Specialty. They work very well together.

I punched the sunflower centers first, then embossed them using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I liked the random look it leaves. It makes the ‘daisy’ punches resemble sunflowers even more!

A little punched leaf is tucked behind the flower and it is done!
