Ha, ha, ha. Yes, a belated anniversary share. I made these very impressive little gift bags to celebrate our 6th anniversary. It was for co-workers. See how awesome –
Of course, as a paper crafter these things usually come really easy. And, we always have a stockpile of things waiting to be transformed. Theses were no different. I knew I wanted to give out a little bottle of non-alcoholic champagne – I just didn’t know how create around it.
I went through my stockpile of ‘pear’ items, our store is located in Pearland, as in pear land, not pearl and. This is what I came up with –
Yes, I used several different tools here. But, the results were so worth it. I started off by embossing the little paper bags in a pear embossing folder. It’s not from Stampin’ Up. I’ve had it a long time.
I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch on these Real Red strips I had. I’m guessing these were from the Grab Bags Stampin’ Up once had. They were already the perfect size. Can’t beat that.
I had just received my Stars Framelits and was really really itching to use them. Two colors here to alternate. Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive.
The number ‘6’, is from the retired Typeset Alphabet. Brushed Gold card stock was just the right color choice here.
The stamped pear, also done in the two colors, was from the retired set, Perfectly Preserved and cut with the coordinating framelits. I initially thought, I should just hand cut these 12 pears……what WAS I thinking? After the first, the framelits came out.
I needed a sentiment. I like the style/font of my sentiments to match everything else. So, again, had to refer to a retired Hostess word set, Express Yourself. I stamped this on leftover tags from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.
And, lastly. Retired ribbon tied it together.
I literally was finishing these before my shift and did not get a chance to take the picture at home. This was done when I got to work.
This is a great example of using what you have stockpiled to create something fabulous. Yes, I did have lots of products going on here. But, that’s why I keep them, to use them.
These were a HUGE success at work. I’ve had inquiries now about what all I do and make. Kind of nice.
