V & D Wedding Wishes

Thoughts of spring: happy, new, love, fresh. What a lovely combination! Perfect for a wedding. Perfect for wedding wishes too.

I have a simple, yet stylish wedding card for Victoria, a second cousin, who is marrying David, the love of her life. You can just see the love in the Save the Date photos and their wedding announcement. So sweet.

I like to match my card to the theme of the wedding, so I went with an outdoorsy, simple one. I used some elements I really don’t use. So I got creative.

It turned out rather well I thought. See for yourself –

I started with a 5×5 card base in Naturals Ivory.

I used the Ampersand Embossing Folder with the wood grain textured Natural Composition Specialty Paper. It’s nice and crisp.

I added their initials. To the 7/8 Natural Trim, I added a little feminine touch of a retired rosette (can’t remember what you call these) and an Antique Brad for him.

As I looked to see what else this card needed, I decided it was done. Just a simple statement for the new couple.

12 Weeks of Gift Card Ideas ’til Christmas

Week 4

Ahh, Christmas is near.

As we get closer, my projects are getting a little more simpler. I want these to be ideas and inspiration for you. Ideas that you can make without pulling your hair out!

So, we are back to the money.

I really like the simplistic style of this *wallet*.

See it open – I just love this paper for this project! Works perfectly!

And of course, turn around –

Not too many pictures that I can take of this. So, I hope this gives you a great over all perspective of this project.

The hardest part of this wallet was making sure it stayed *together*! After all, there are 2 layers of card stock, plus DSP – that all have to remain together and fold!

I used Sticky Strip for most of it. But, I had to go back and redo those areas that I just had used Mono. So, in gathering your supplies to make this, make sure to have Sticky Strip or Tombow on hand to complete it.

I started with a 7×7 sheet of card stock.

Grateful Folds

I decided to make one of those folded flowers, lollies, whatever you call them. I did and did not know what to do with it. I pulled out my stamps and came up with this –

Love it! Not sure if I loved making the flower thingy – but, this card is a nice creation. The flower does add a nice touch to this card!

You should at least attempt one of these flowers. They are a little fun. Just frustrating to glue…
