Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I created a simple, yet elegant birthday card –

Sweet, right?

I started by stamping the Sketched Plaid in Lost Lagoon onto the Soft Sea Foam. I debated about what stamp set to use with my base, but went with this new Heartfelt Hexagons Bundle. It is such a great versatile bundle!

I stamped the little flowers in the blank areas for a fill.

Next, I stamped the border in Soft Sea Foam. I inked the sentiment in two colors and stamped it in the center of the border. I punched it. Adding a scrap of Berry Burst to highlight the color behind it on the card made it pop! Just what the card needed!

The Basic Rhinestones in each of the flowers really set the card off! Simply elegant!

CASing Melissa Davies from Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is CASing our own designer, Melissa Davies!

It didn’t take me long to settle on this sweet number to CAS –

I thought this would be a perfect card to try out the Merry & Bright Bundle with these fun colors!

What do you think about this –

It is too cute, isn’t it!?!? These lights are just soo cute! So customizable too.

I used the Adhesive Sheets for the filaments inside the light bulbs – these are a lifesaver!

I went with the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper for the bottom pattern. It is fun and playful like the card itself!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

These colors just felt like a modern Christmas to me! So, I pulled out these gorgeous dies and got to playing –

Notice there is no stamping here? You can certainly create a card with no stamping as have done here – the sentiment is in the dies!

I started with the N O E L from the Joy of Noel Dies. I layered a few of the dies from the Christmas Classics Dies next.

I die cut some of the holly berries, but then grabbed a small hole punch for a few of them as well.

After creating the focal point, I played around with the base and decided to add an embossed background using the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder (remember to use the Specialty Plate, grey or older blue for these folders).

That was exactly what stepped this card up!

I was in a fall feels mood – easy to do that with temps of 100°!!! This card seemed appropriate to CAS –

I liked the simplistic style of her card.

and, don’t you love this? All the fall feels!

I combined the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, with the new, Autumn Leaves Bundle, stamp set and dies, for this! I used a few different colors of ink on the leaf to create a similar effect.

Simple. Elegant. Grateful.

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

The new September – December Stampin’ Up catalog started yesterday! I am having lots of fun playing with new products! Our challenges are always a great way to start!

This is such a serene Christmas card!! I featured the Night Divine Dies for the holy family.

Peeking beneath the Blackberry Bliss layer, is the Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper. All the patterns are stunning!

This simple sentiment comes from the Brightest Glow. It helps set the mood with this card. I love how the embossed background is another new product, the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Remember to use the Specialty Plate with these type of thicker folders.

Would this be a card you send out? I’ll create a few more of these for those special people at Christmas.

Mary is a great designer! I could have copied any number of her cards! I chose a recent one –

And turning it into a Christmas card –

I used the new Merriest Trees Bundle, stamps set and dies, for this sweet card! Soo cute!

The stripe pattern paper is the new Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper. One side is Christmas, the other side is generic patterns! I used it the other day for a masculine card.

I added one of the Basics 3D Embossed panels. This polka dot pattern is cute, but I made it a little more subtle by flattening the dots after I embossed it!

I used the Tailor Made Tags as well to pull in all the colors!

I love how nothing about this card screams Christmas! Even though it is Christmas paper.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

I flipped this layout –

. . . . creating this sweet Christmas card –

This is another new bundle, the Sending Cheer Bundle, stamp set and dies. I paired it with the new Garden Walk Designer Series Paper.

And also the Basics 3D Embossing Folder for the background.

These dies are really cool in that they cut tags! Here is what they looked like in the design stage –

You can see the die cuts are actually little tags! I just removed the loops at the top by cutting them off with scissors! I also decided the background needed something! Embossing won out!

For the Ladies with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is cards for the ladies!

I am continuing to grab something new and just make something with it.

I used my favorite go-to sketch as well. This new Garden Walk Designer Series Paper was cut to 3″ x 3″, then to 1″ x 3″, and used how it was cut to keep the pattern continuous.

The embossed panel is also a new product. It’s the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I think this will be a very popular item from this new catalog! This folder requires the Specialty Plate which works in lots of the other machines, in addition to the current Stamp’n Cut & Emboss, and the the retired Big Shot.

The sentiment is from the Modern Garden stamp set that has a nice oval type punch to coordinate with it. Here I used something unexpected for the flowers. This is the Pick of The Patch Builder Punch. It is a punch for creating pumpkins! Here, it creates a whimsical flower.

I hope you love this card for the ladies as much as I do! These are going to be some popular products!

I decided to use up some scraps to create this card –

This paper and scraps is from the Online Exclusive, One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. This is the back sides of some of those pretty scenes.

I combined it with the Wonderful Thoughts bundle in bold reds and blues.

I decided to mimic the die cut shape that thanks is stamped on for the embossed piece. That adds such a nice touch doing little things like that.

True Colors with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is true colors featuring all the new 2023-2024 In – Colors!

Since it is August, many teachers, staff, and students are returning to school over the next couple of months. I decided to go with a back to school themed card –

The books in the Bird’s Eye View stamps set are wonder for this idea! I stamped and cut them out by hand stacking them on a ‘shelf’.

To bring in some of the colors in, I cut a panel using the Dots & Spots adding card stock strips behind the circles to create a subtle background.

The addition of the apple using the Cherry Builder punch sets the theme perfectly!

Now to decide which teacher friend or family will receive this??

We are back to our alternating color or layout challenges. This week, we have a new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I toyed with these colors for a bit. And, look at the results! Don’t you just love this?!?!

So, so pretty!!! I surprised myself on this one! You ever do that?

I combined several products here. The striped background is the Nested Essentials Dies. The floral items are from the Gorgeously Made Dies. I added the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper for interest, rather than a solid piece of Lemon Lolly.

The sentiment is from a favorite stamp in the new catalog, Layering Leaves, die cut from the Nested Essentials Dies.

I am soo excited to send this card out!

Guess I was just feeling festive! I added the Festive Pearls on a few of the trees and to tie in the Real Red sentiment.

Mellow Yellow with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week features cards that are yellow.

Yellow reminds of the sun shining. Which gave me the inspiration for this card today –

A Bridge Fold using the new Online Exclusive, One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. The prints are soo pretty!

I used all but a little 1/2″ x 1/2″ square of paper creating this.

The basic measurements for my Bridge Fold begin with a card base of 5 1/2″ x 8″, remember to remove the 1/2″. Score the base at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 6 3/4″. My strip across is 5 1/2″ x 3/4″.

I did not want any of the beautiful paper going to waste! I started by cutting 1/2″ off the bottom. My strips of pattern paper cut in order from left or right are : 1″, 5/8″, 2 3/4″, 5/8″, 1″. Keep them in scene order when adhering to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Boho Blue ink on Lemon Lolly. The 2″ Circle Punch includes the whole sentiment nicely!

What is wonderful about this sized Bridge Card is that is does fit into a standard envelope!
