For this pumpkin cutie, I used the Rustic Pumpkin Dies. I like the texture on the pumpkin the die creates. The stem was hand cut.

The Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is a nice backdrop for the pumpkin. These two patterns are simple without competing.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is our current layout challenge –

Well, I rotated my sketch to this –

And created this –

Simple and pretty. The focal point is a piece of this gorgeous Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper.

Look closely at the background, Merry Merlot piece. I placed the pattern paper upon an embossed Merry Merlot using the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. I then place that on a Very Vanilla card base.

I added the sentiment using the Hello Harvest stamp set and bundle. I stamped the image, then die cut it using the Rustic Pumpkin Dies After, I trimmed away most of the banner from the cut image as it was big and overpowered the pattern paper.

What a wonderful card to start off fall! Wouldn’t you agree?

Thank for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

For the next several weeks, we have a real treat for you. We will be CASEing (copy and share everything) each designer on the blog hop!

This week, we are all CASEing Melissa Davies. We each get to choose a card we like, copy the layout and the colors, but add stamps and dies from the July – December Mini catalog.

Here is Melissa’s card that caught my eye –

I took a fall approach –

Simply cute! I used the Hello Harvest bundle to create my card. I used my own ideas for the images on my card. Here, solid colors for the two pumpkins instead of coloring them.

My favorite part was the embossed background. It is the new Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. It looks really pretty by itself too!

This paper is the new Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. Such lovely shades of Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and black.

The sentiment and die cut pumpkin are from the Hello Harvest bundle. Notice the pumpkin and stem has detailed ‘bumps’ in the embossing! Happens when it is cut out. Very cool!

The sentiment is simple, HELLO. Oh, how I’d like the cooler temperatures of fall. It is still upwards 95°, plus 100% humidity!!! 🤪 Maybe in a few months….lol!
