After yesterday – how can I top those two posts?

I’m not even going to try. But, I will share a fun card from my recent Card Buffet.

I had a request last year to have a Halloween themed birthday card on the Card Buffet to make. I came up with this one, and decided to create one this year one before she asked.

I knew when I saw these framelits just how to use them –

Combined with the Spider Web Doilies. You have a winner of a birthday card. Sort of edgy.

Framelit Flip Birthday Card

Have you been following me the past few days? Whew! Hard to top the previous posts!

I’m sharing something simple today.

This was one of the cards on my August Card Buffet. I showed off lots of new products. And, I just had to show this new Circle Card Thinlit Die. Surprisingly, this worked well, buffet style! I have such wonderful customers!

I went with the Birthday Basics DSP panels on the two sides. In order to do this, you have to start with a piece of card stock the size of the framelit. It worked out well. Some simple stamping and one punch and done!

This card really only looked intimidating. Once everyone tried it, they were thrilled with really just how easy it was.

Fishy Birthdays

Fishing for a masculine birthday card idea? Well, look no further.

I just received my By The Tide stamp set and went straight to work. Today is my brother’s birthday! Yay, Happy Birthday Kenny. And, he loves fishing – so, what a great combination.

I had a card that inspired me to purchase this set, but, when I opened this stamp set, I went in a totally different direction! I am following CAS(E) this Sketch today, #40 to be exact.  Nice, simple, clean sketch. Perfect for these little fishes!

Now the sentiment. I am actually ‘on time’ for Kenny’s birthday, just by the time he gets this card, it will be late. So, I chose the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set – so many great sentiments in that one!

So, nothing really ‘fishy’ about this card. Just a simple Happy Birthday to my brother, Kenny!

Butterfly Birthday

Butterflies and birthdays, what a nice combination, right? Well, at least in my card that is. Scroll down and check it.

Sweet, huh? Thought you’d like it!

I created this card for The Paper Players Challenge 151. Loved this sketch! I just had to find time to create something to go with it. I made time.

I love how the butterflies are fresh and fun and are so perky! They are two folded in half butterflies then glued next to each other. This way when the card is mailed, they can be flattened and will spring back up! Clever, huh?

I played around with a new sentiment I just got, Remembering Your Birthday. Love it! It’s so current. So trendy. I love how I rolled the stamp on my (old style) ink pad to create that faded look. Yes, that was on purpose!

And, notice I used real ribbon? No paper bows today! Lol!
