Happy ‘three post’ Thursday!

My first post is for Create with Connie and Mary and our new color challenge for the week.

I love these soft, sweet colors!

So I found an adorable bunny to go along with these colors –

This just makes me want to squeeee!

The bunny came from the We Must Celebrate stamp set in the Spring Mini. It was a strip of animals and I just fussy cut him from the bunch.

From that, I colored him and just added different pieces to build the card. The final touch was the silver hearts. Just the right finishing touch!

The card also use Sale-a-Bration paper too! It’s SOOO elegant!

Watercooler Wednesday 143 – Gail’s Feminine Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Watercooler Wednesday fans! Part of three blog posts today! Thanks for joining me!

Got a wonderful Feminine challenge starting today from Gail –

I went with this lovely stamp set and Designer Series Paper to create this –

It’s one of those neat, fancy folds! See when you open it –

It truly is lovely! And quite simple too!

I started with a card base of 4 1/2 x 9, scored at 3 1/3. The second panel is 8 x 3, scored at 4. The Designer Series Paper is added to the card base inside and outside flap. So easy!

Freshly Made Sending Lots of Love

I have created a special card that is very near and dear to my heart today for Freshly Made Sketches. It’s their 300th challenge!

They are so special to me because it was one of the first challenges that I started following and playing along with. I was SO inspired by them. The clean and simple style really helped shape who I am as a designer. Now, I’m on three teams! (Of course FMS, is a dream design team to be a part of!!! Goals, right? Goals! )

I hadn’t really played with this Whole Lot of Lovely Suite and I felt it was a great time to pull it out!

So bright! So fun! So full of energy!

I used lots of dimension here as well. And, yes, pulled out the new paper snips to do ~~some~~ lots of cutting around the words!

I did struggle with this choice of paper. Normally, I do not have this struggle……

….and another contender –

It’s funny seeing the design in a blog how it looks different! But, I stand by my choice!

Congrats to Freshly Made Sketches on their 300th challenge! Simply put, here’s to many more clean and simple inspirational sketches to challenge and inspire us!

Happy Thursday! You know what that means!

Time for another fabulous card designed for Create with Connie and Mary and our new weekly challenge!

We are back to out alternating color and layout challenges. This week, some fabulous colors –

To compliment the colors, my card –

Bold, fun, creative! I started with stamping the background using the Brushstrokes stamp in Tranquil Tide. I loved it, but once all the other elements were together, it was a bit too bold. A piece of vellum softened the stripes nicely.

I added the stamped focal panel, then the addition of the heart strip, the ‘washi piece’ and the thin bow. All are from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Perfect additions to the card tying in all the colors in the challenge.
