Hello! Happy Sunday!

I hope you are staying healthy and well in your part of the world. Scary times we are living in right now.

Time to show off what we are keeping ourselves busy with while at home with a blog hop!

This is our inspirational picture and colors to create from –

Here is my take on the sketch –

I stamped the lines using the Pattern Play stamp set (yes, a favorite of mine!) in Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Rococo Rose, and So Saffron. After, I took Blends in the same colors and colored in between the lines.

I chose this sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set because it is big and bold to stamp in the center. I used the Stamparatus to stamp this.

I placed Basic Black palm tree leaves from the In The Tropics Dies in two corners. I like how these emboss the leaves as well.

My card resembles the sketch, using the colors. I like how it turned out. A perfect card for anyone!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Hawaiian Luau

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a card with a tropical feel, as in Hawaiian Luau. Basically, a vacation in a card, which we can all use about now!

I thought I’d combine that idea with a little humor –

A goat in a grass skirt!!! Lol!!

This stamped goat was sitting on my pile of unused stamped images. Looking at the goat, it looks like she is hula dancing!

So, I just had to add a grass skirt and a flower in her hair!!! So tropical!

The flower and ‘aloha’ sentiment are from the In The Tropics Dies.

I placed those on a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. I use a Crumb Cake card base along with a Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. I ended up trimming it down to fit the front of the card though.

I hope this gave you a chuckle! Especially if you were one of those supposed to be on the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip this week!

Nice, earthy colors! Great for a anyone, but makes for a real nice masculine card –

Wouldn’t you agree?

I am excited that I finally got the Timeless Tropical bundle in along with the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper in! I also got the Coastal Weave embossing Folder in as well. I used all for this card.

For the palm tree, I inked up my stamp in Old Olive, then markered the tree trunks in Soft Suede. After stampin the tree, I took the Pear Pizzaz Stampin’ Write marker and filled in the tree leaves. The added details makes all the difference!

Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe – March Challenge

I went with Birthday, Punch, Food –

I love this tropical style card! Great for anyone!

I started with a pineapple that I had die cut from the In The Tropics Dies. it was on my desk just asking to be used!

It looked nice framed on an oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. The framing broke it up from the busy Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.

Since I needed a ‘punched shape’, I went with a sentiment from the nifty, Label Me Bold stamp set, stamped three times. The Classic Label Punch is perfect for this sentiment. I added it three times and trimmed the ends even with the card. Something a little different!

Pineapple Thanks

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest layout challenge –

I managed to snag a few pineapple die cuts from a friend this past weekend. I was itching to use them. So I incorporated them in this weeks challenge –

I used the Mosaic Mood Specialty paper for the pineapple parts. It looked so very tropical to me. It made a nice, realistic pineapple too!

I also used the Nature’s Thoughts Dies for the decorative rectangle the pineapple sits on. Also, the braided Garden Green strip behind the pineapple.

Since I don’t have the coordinating stamp either, I used the thanks from the Here’s a Card stamp set.

Quite fun and festive I think!
