Welcome stampers! Thank for join us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features retiring products that we will the most.

I have three right off the top of my head combined in one sweet card –

One. Pierced Bloom Dies (they are marked down too!) I love these dies because all the flowers do not need a stamp to look great! They stand alone. There is a pretty bow in the dies. There is a good size banner for a sentiment in there as well.

Two. Stitched So Sweetly Dies (this one surprised me….) Great versatile set of scalloped shaped dies perfect for anything, even included sentiment shaped!

Three. Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (also marked down really cheap!) A great go-to background for just about any card.

Sentiment is from the In Bloom stamp set. This stamp coordinated with the dies and once was part of a bundle of the two.

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest two week challenge –

Optional Theme : School Days

I love this layout! Yes, I love a lot of layouts! Lol! I see a lot of possibilities for easy creating with one like this.

I debated making another ‘school themed’ card because my girls are grown adults. But, I like to inspire others. So here is what I went with –

It looks like a chalkboard!

And, look at the cute ‘apple’! Any guesses what I used?

For the sentiment, I used the In Bloom stamp set –

I also used the Pierced Blooms Dies that coordinate with the stamp set. I used one of the leaves for the apple and I used the sentiment piece.

Now, back to the apple. I used a pumpkin from the Detailed Pumpkins Dies. How cool is that!?!?

This card would be awesome for a teacher to wish them well on a great year!

Happy Wednesday!

Time for an awesome sketch from Make the Cards Challenge –

This is a really cool starting point for a card!

To clarify this challenge, create a card containing : 3 flowers, 2 ladybugs, and 1 sunshine!

Here is my Design Team take on this –

So, so, CUTE! Wouldn’t you agree???

I got creative on this card as I do not have a ladybug in any of my stash – so, I improvised!

I used three sets of dies to create this sweet gem : 1) Pierced Bloom Dies. This die created the flowers, flower centers, stems, leaves, ladybugs, and the die cut sentiment shape.

2) Give It A Whirl Dies for the sunshine and the three clouds!

And, the nifty border around the card, the Stitched With Whimsy Dies –

All came together so nicely in these bright cheery colors!

See, isn’t this just soo fun? If you don’t have the elements in your stash, create them!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features spring flower cards.

When I think spring, I think Bluebonnets or Tulips. I went with –

Tulips! Simply stamped of course!

Every year I like to create some sort of Tulip card with something that is not a Tulip.

This is no different. I used the Pretty Perennials stamp set for the flowers.

More specifically, the solid leaf. I stamped it three times, reinking each time.

For the green leaves and stem, I used the In Bloom stamp set. Nothing special, I used the leaves and a stem. I did ink up and stamp twice each leaf before re-inking again.

Lastly, the sentiment is from, ironically, Timeless Tulips! Lol!

This did take me a couple of tries. I do find that simply stamped cards are a bit more of a challenge.

And, this card is a mini slim size at 3 1/2″ x 6″. I like this size. It is so sweet. Perfect for a row of tulips!

Fun Fold Fridays – Tri-Fold Card

Friday again?

I have another nifty share to help use up some of the Designer Series Paper or pattern paper you have around your craft room!

This is a tri-fold card that uses about half a sheet of 12″ x 12″ to make a card showing off both sides of the paper.

Just a little more –

Sweet, sweet, sweet!

This is the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Flower & Field. Only a couple more days that you can get this paper for free!

This fold so simple! I used a 5 1/2″ x 12″ piece of pretty pattern paper, I say pretty because some are only one side worthy. Others, you can not decide which side to use. That is the case with this whole pack! I scored the strip at at 4″ and 8″.

On the end panel, the front panel, I used the Stitched Shapes Die to cut a circle from the outer panel. I used the next to largest size.

Then, I cut a black one slightly larger and using the largest circle and the next size down (same size as the front circle) creating a frame. I also cut an additional Basic White one the size of the outside circle.

I folded both panels of the card in. I adhered the Basic White circle to the second panel through the front circle to align it perfectly.

I adhered the black frame on the outside.

I cut several flower shapes to match the Designer Series Paper to decorate the card. These all came from the In Bloom Bundle. Yes, I’ve used it a lot lately!

This was a fun type of card to create. I am excited to pull out others patterns an get to work!

Happy Wednesday!

Sharing a trio of lovely, quick cards from my weekend class. Only a few more days to take advantage of Sale-a-bration. Here is a wonderful option –

Yes, using my new favorite, Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper and the In Bloom Bundle again.

I just couldn’t help it! Just look at these dies! Hard to see in the picture, but there is stitching around just about everything!

Each card uses the same size pieces, just in a different layouts.

I’ve been playing with the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper a lot lately!

It has really became a favorite! And, it’s an option for Sale-a-bration.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches latest sketch –

Combining the two, here is what I came up with –

It is a double fold too!

The flower in the center is fussy cut from one of the patterns in the pack.

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the scallop border and base for the mini card the flower sits on.

Fun Fold Fridays – Designer Series Paper Show Off

Happy Friday!

I have managed to make it through this week and the Texas’ idea for dealing with cold weather. Do. Nothing. Turn power off. Turn water off. C’mon Texas, we can do better! The rest of the US deals with way worse temperatures just fine! Ok, rant over.

I did manage to get some cards done when the power sporadically came back on!

Last Saturday, I showed these gorgeous cards created to show both sides of the paper. Here is the link for them.

Since I’m sort of short on creativity and electricity time, I decided to do the same today with another Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Paper Blooms.

In person, this paper looks a bit different. It wasn’t my favorite honestly.

But……I created some cards and I like it a little better now! Because, just look at these –

Pretty sweet, right?

They all three use the same card base, 5 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″. This gives a base of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2, with an inch flap to adhere the pattern paper to.

The pattern paper layer varied in size a bit from card to card. Anywhere from 4″ x 5 1/4″ to 3 3/4″ x 5″. My layers are in 1/4″ increments.

These first two cards, the solid layer in the inside was 4″ x 5 1/4″, with the pattern paper being 3 3/4″ x 5″. The strip on the outside is 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.

I used the same sentiment on all three cards from the In Bloom stamp set. We always need birthday cards.

This last card, the pattern paper was 4″ x 5 1/4″.

All three cards had a navy twine bow for a little extra something!

This shows what the cards look like on the inside. You can see the other side of the Designer Series Paper and how I decorated the insides. Simply pretty!
