Today is a personal share along with a couple of challenges.
My husband got great news yesterday on his five-year checkup! Yippee! So now, checkups every year. A very nice milestone! You might remember a couple of years ago I posted this card here. This is just a continuation, a few days late, but it’s official! So, happy dance!
On to my card and challenges. I have a Pinterest board (who doesn’t????) of nothing but Card Challenges. These are all for just this year, 2015. These two challenge stuck out for me this morning.
One is a color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge. I saw some nice manly colors here –
I paired it with a sketch from the Paper Players –
Nice and clean for a manly card. This is how I combined the two –
Simple. Bold. Lots of Dimensionals.
I was itching to use this circle type image from the February Paper Pumpkin. That was my starting image. I built from there. The overlapped flower came from the set Snuggles & Smooches – it was perfect.
And, the whole point of my card was to celebrate the 5 year mark! So, I had to use a large number from the retired Bigz Simple Numbers die. The ‘cheers’ is from the limited edition set, Good Greetings, which was GREAT!
Together this came together perfectly!
Lots of love, health and happiness to my husband, Ed.
Drop me a comment and let me know what you think of my share today.
Happy Stampin’
