Here is our latest 2 week challenge –

You know what this means?

Time to pull out a stamp set from the shelf! I went with Waterfront –

I stamped the mountains, water, and trees all in tones of grays. I used Basic Gray, Smokey Slate and Black Memento to create a landscape scene.

To use the sketch layout, I decided not to cut up this beautiful scene. Instead, I stamped vellum and placed it on the top. I loved this sentiment thinking it went well with whole feel of the card.

I added enamel dots that I colored with a Shaded Spruce Blends to tie in the sketch.

I love the way it turned out! Woodsy. Masculine. Rugged. What do you think?

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

I am excited to be playing with new, gorgeous Designer Series Paper for this –

Initially, when I designed this card, my sentiment was larger. It covered up this beautiful flower on this Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, so I made the sentiment smaller.

It’s from the new Genuine Gems stamp set. This set has soo many great sayings – those hard to express words mostly. It just went so well with this paper and the feels it gives!

I did use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment. I’m getting to using it just about every time I stamp!

As to keep most of it visible, I used a strip of vellum along the edge, along with a strip of Blackberry bliss. All this on the new Purple Posey card base to bring out the flower.

It’s a beauty and I can’t wait to send it out.

We Create In Color 2018-2020 Blog Hop

Hello, May! Boy, this year is flying by…..

The first of the month is always a blog hop for –

The theme this month is 2018 -2020 In Colors.

Wow, what great colors : Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel.

I paired them with a new stamp set I received at OnStage, Genuine Gems.

These were so fun to create!

I started with the same size panels of each of the In Colors. I mounted the stamp to the Stamparatus and stamped each one in Black Memento. I then made strips from each line in the sentiment.

I put them together, mounting them in different ways.

This was my first and favorite –

Each strip is popped up using Dimensionals.

The was another favorite of the five cards I made –

The thin black border is a nice addition.

This large sentiment is wonderful to show off these bold, beautiful colors! Wouldn’t you agree?
