Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

This is the first of three hops for me. Come back later to the the other two! 

Our theme this week features fall flowers.

I just love fall and everything associated with it. I decided to pull out the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle for this –

I stamped the sunflowers in Cinnamon Cider on Bumble Bee, then die cut them with the Sunflower Dies.

I placed those on a piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series paper, yes, a Christmas paper! Here, it doesn’t look like it thought!

I added some vellum sprigs from the Forever Fern Dies and the Sunflower Dies set around the flowers.

I placed all that on a Cinnamon Cider card base and added the sentiment from the Banner Year stamp set.

This card really makes the fall flowers just shine!

Hello Friday!

What a week it has been.

I created this card on Wednesday, but had trouble posting it.

Simple. Serene. Mood invoking.

Wednesday was the funeral for my brother.

I planned his memorial. I spoke at his service. I needed the courage to speak. So I created a card for myself, yes, me. 

And, it helped give me the strength to get through the day.

Ironically, I had already made the card before I had found the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that was the same as my design! How interesting was that??

I just saw this sentiment and it was soo fitting! That was my starting point for my card. Shades of 70’s style brown reminded me of him as well. I added the Vellum die cut leaves from the Forever Fern Dies as they added just the right amount of softness.

Now I look at this card and really see the beauty in the phrase.
