Texture Time with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week features cards with texture.

There are so many ways to add texture to a card : embossing, shaped die cutting, and ribbon add physical texture, color adds visual texture. I combined all of them!

Earlier in the month I attended a Stampin’ Up event and was gifted a pack of the new In Colors for 2024-2026!

They are fresh, fun and perfect for Spring!

I combined the new colors with a new color coming out, Basic Beige. Additionally, Basic White, Very Vanilla, and Pebbled Path for some neutral comparison.

This embossing folder I used is found in the Online Exclusives on the Stampin’ Up website, the Zinnia 3D. It was really too pretty not to use!

Additional new supplies : Unbounded Love Bundle (stamp set and dies), 2024 -2026 In Color resin Dots, and Black & Very Vanilla 3/8″ Large Check Ribbon.

Peek-a-boo with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week features peek-a-boo cards, or cards that show the inside of the card from the outside.

I created an adorable shaker card –

…and the inside of the card –

The flap is totally back in the picture as I forgot to add the acetate sheet inside my clear envelope. Grumble. Luckily, the card still works!

I started with the retiring Bee Mine Designer Series Paper. I combined it with the adorable Fluffiest Friends Bundle (found in the Online Exclusives). There are no sentiments in the stamp set so I added a perfect one from the Bee My Valentine.

I colored the cutie bear with Blends. I don’t have the Sweet Sorbet Blends so I used Poppy Parade and lightened it with the Color Lifter! I bet you didn’t even notice!

This is just as sweet as can be and can not wait to find the perfect person to send it too!

Easter Parade with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is Easter cards!

I decided to use a sketch we featured a couple of weeks ago for this card –

I used the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper again as well. I mean, there are SO many wonderful patterns in this pack!

I t is sort of non-traditional colors, but that’s ok. The egg shapes from Excellent Eggs Dies came out really cute! The sentiment is from the bundle, however this great cut shape is not. I used the Thoughtful Expressions Dies for that. I have used the heck out of those dies and didn’t think I would! I highly recommend them!

To tie in the colors, I used Stampin’ Blends to color the Basic Rhinestone Jewels. It is a nice simple touch that could still be considered ‘masculine’. The piece of ribbon is also Night of Navy.

Let’s Get Sketchy with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week features a sketch and how we use it! I found this sketch and immediately thought of the Simply Zinnia Bundle.

I also love a good black and white card and haven’t created one of those in a while!

I combined two unlikely choices, the new Online Exclusive bundle, Simply Zinnia, with the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper from the main catalog. This is so fun and playful!

Initially, I wasn’t sure if I’d want to use a white or black flower so I made both. In the end, I liked them both!

Although I went with a thank you card, this would have been great as a birthday card too!

Our theme this week features Z-Folds!

There are soo many varieties of Z-Folds! I went with a Book Fold Z-Fold –

……and the new, Simple Zinnia Bundle and Flowering Zinnia Designer Series Paper OnLine Exclusives available March 5.

This card has a nice spring to it when opened!

Fully opened, you can see the ‘Z-Fold’.

I added Designer Paper Pieces to the outer edges to flank the center panel. The center panel is a larger piece of cardstock adheres to the flap. A larger center piece gives a little more presence.

I just think this looks so spring like! It is just fabulous!

At this time of the year, nothing is sweeter than chocolate Easter bunnies!

These little ‘chocolate cuties’ are from the Excellent Eggs Bundle. They are just too cute! I stamped them on Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie to resemble chocolate.

I wanted to give an Easter feel, so I used this A Little Latte Designer Series Paper that will be available March 5th. It is is only online.

Pick Me Up with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is get well or thinking of you cards.

I decided on a sweet style of card to let a friend know I am here for them –

This Let’s Chat is just simply adorable! I mean, who doesn’t like a retro phone?

I stamped both phone pieces in Calypso Coral and cut them by hand. Both are really easy shapes to cut, even if you do not like to cut things by hand!

I added a short piece of silver cord and twisted it a little to curl for the phone cord.

I bet you are wondering what paper and card base I used?

I used the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes! I trimmed one of the card bases to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, standard card size. It was already scored at 4 1/4″.

For the background I took one of the envelopes and cut it apart. I used the envelope front, a lighter shade of Calypso Coral, for the frame, and the inside of the envelope, which is floral, for the cut up pieces!

These Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes are in the Mini Catalog, but were added to the Sale-a-bration list a couple of weeks ago, so I got them free with a minimum purchase. You have until the end of the month, about two weeks, to get your Sale-a-bration goodies!

Our theme this week is flower power, cards featuring all flowers!

This challenge is just in time as I recently received my Online Exclusives preorder! A perk of being a demonstrator. This is the Flowering Zinnias Suite –

I used three of the brightly colored Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Papers for the layers of this lovely card. These are such fun colors! Definitely remind me of ‘flower power’!

The sentiment was long, ‘Sending Flowers and Thinking of You’. I trimmed and edited out the ‘and’ and placed the sentiment like this.

That is the beauty of stamping – you can edit things as needed!

I finished off the card with new Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins specific to this suite of products. Just lovely!

I Think I Love You with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is Valentine cards!

We have some of the best Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper this time around. For instance, the Most Adored Designer Series Paper. I just have to show off both sides –

Very nice, right?

I just love it! To make the heart opening on the front, I used the Hooray for Surprises Dies. After I made the cut, I assembled the card and stamped the sentiment through the heart as there is plenty of room to do so!

I trimmed the Designer Series Paper and the leftover strip, I placed on the inside of the card.

The heart that was left from the front, I used as an envelope seal! How cool is that? Either side would work nicely and can be seen from open or closed!

The Flirty Flamingo double bow on the front ties in the colors. This card would be suitable for the guys in your life too! Wouldn’t you agree?

The Black & White Gingham Ribbon adds a nice contrast to the colors!

Red & Green Christmas with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week is features red and green Christmas card.

I created a gift card holder to be featured at my Giftables Class on Sunday –

This uses several products to make this quick and easy. I started with the Classic Gift Card Envelopes from the mini catalog. FYI, they are retiring and are on sale!

I added a simple little santa suit using the Modern Oval Punch in Poppy Parade. The buckle on the belt uses the Best Label Punch.

I decided to open the envelope so the flap gives a little more room to stamp. I added To From from the Sending Cheer Stamp set. The Santa Was Here comes from the Merry Bold & Bright stamp set.

I used a hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the flap to hang this on the tree. The Simply Elegant trim is great for making tags!

These are some awesome little envelopes to have in your stash! Grab them before they are gone for good!

Favorite Christmas Bundle with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Our theme this week features our favorite Christmas bundle.

When I first got this catalog, this Sending Cheer Bundle was what I was drawn to –

These are actually tags, but I removed the loops to use them like this. Although these as tags would be stinkin’ cute!

As you can see, they stamp very nice and solid too! No special tools here! Just a little cushion as these are photopolymer stamps.

I added the button heart detailing from the dies and thought, I’d like these to be a boy and a girl. The little bows from the Playing in The Rain Dies are perfect for this!

Another favorite of mine for this card are the colors – red and green just say Christmas to me! I added a strip from the A Walk in The Forest Designer Series Paper.

Big bonus about this stamp and die I featured here? It is on sale! Bummer it is on the Last Chance list and is retiring though.

Colorful Leaves with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

I pulled out some pattern papers, got to playing, and created this –

Not exactly colorful. Not exactly more than one leaf. Lol.

So pretty nonetheless! This combination of colors and patterns just works so well together!

These neutrals really pop if you ask me! The hint of the Crumb Cake behind the Designer Series Layer really pulls the colors together.

This card would be great for ‘Friendsgiving’! I went to lunch on Friday with one of my friends I’ve made through stamping. I was inspired to make a card after our lovely lunch. I guess I should send her this card, lol!
