Thank for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

This week we are featuring animals from the mini catalog.

I decided to stretch my idea with the inspiration idea this week –

The ‘turkey’ body is made from the returning Penguin Builder punch. The precut leaf from the Leaf Label & Amber Gems makes up the turkeys feathers. Yes, the gems on the turkey feathers are from that as well.

I got creative with the turkey face. The beak is from the Songbird Builder Punch, no surprise there. But the turkey snood, the red part, and the two eyes, are from the Whale Punch!

Just a simply creative, cute, turkey inspired by this week’s animal challenge.

This week we are featuring Halloween words.

Where do I start with this card –

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Cottage Wreaths Bundle, Cottage Wreaths, Alphabest, Country Wreaths Dies, Elegant Faceted Gems, Simply Scored, CCM, Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

I stamped the word ‘eek’ using the Aphabest stamp set. I placed all three letters on the block, stamping them at one time. One of the letter e’s had a symbol above it, so I stamped it this way to sort of mask that.

After stamping eek, I used the Simply Scored to create the lines alongside the words, then again in the center of the card. Sort of looks like shiplap.

Next, just what to put in the center? Well, since it is Halloween, I decided on spiders, but on a wreath. The Cottage Wreaths bundle does have a spider.

Look closely as I added an Elegant Faceted Gem colored with a black permanent marker to create the 3D spiders look. Quite cool in person!

It’s a door! Maybe to welcome someone, or for an open house, or to congratulate someone on a new new home.

For the door part of the card, notice the details on the panels and the handle? I used the Warm Welcome Dies. Note, this is only sold as a Warm Welcome bundle.

For the fall wreath, I used the Cottage Wreath Bundle. I stamped the wreath first and die cut it. The outer loopy solid color wreath is also part of the set. You can create some nice variation in your wreath. Lastly, I colored some Iridescent Pearls with a Stampin’ Blends to match the bow. I love the bow and it’s detailed styling

Hello Pumpkin

Not sure what I love more, the background here or the pumpkin?

The background is the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. This creates a nice thick multi-dimensional impression. To use this folder, use the Specialty Plate and your platform, no clear cutting pad. I forget to mention this all the time….

Now, this sweet lit’l pumpkin is made with the Cherry Builder Punch. I punched three of them, adhered them together, then embossed them with the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folders. So simple! Works great if you have no pumpkin dies! The stem is free hand cut. The leaf is a die cut from the Candy Cane Dies.

This top view doesn’t show the embossed background very well at all. However, it does show the cute pumpkin focal point!

Hello Stampers!

Happy to be with you on a Sunday!

Did you create cards for World Card Making Day yesterday? Now, the following week is National Send Week! Not sure if that is made up or not, but it sounds good to me! Sometimes it’s way easier to make thee cards than to send them! 

In honor of World Card Making Day, Stampin’ Up is celebrating with FREE shipping on Tuesday!

One of the bundles featured was the Cottage Wreath. My card turned out similar –

I stamped the outer ‘wreath’ with the leaves stamp from the set. I added a few lighter leaves by stamping off first. Doing this adds a little texture and dimension.

For the outer wreath and the bow, I used my Blending Brushes. That look is soo pretty.

For this card, I thought out of the box a bit –

The inspiration picture was vertical, I went with horizontal. Also, inspo was circles, I used the leaves from the Chic Dies, and no stencils. I was in a fall card mood!
