Yippee! It’s Friday! And, a blog hop!

Our theme this month is Mother’s Day.

I designed a card perfect to send out to all of our friends who do it all –

…..with a little help from coffee!

I really love the Strong & Beautiful stamp set. All the words are just what you really want to say.

But, for this card, I felt I needed to add the additional coffee sentiment! So many of us run on lots of coffee these days!

I added it with the Make a Difference stamp set and the Stamparatus. As you can see, it stamped perfectly! Every other letter was on two plates to get them so close.

I had this card on my April Card Buffet and it was a total hit. They loved the use of the double plates on the Stamparatus.

I will really miss the Coffee Cafe stamp as well. It paired nicely with the All My Love Designer Series Paper for this card. Guess I should make up lots of these cards to use up all this paper and get my fill of this stamp set!

12 Days of Gift Card Holders – Day 7

I am creating right along until Christmas!

Today, I have a gift card holder that’s an all time favorite for a lot of us – coffee!

I made one of those nifty Diagonal Double Pocket Cards!

It starts with a, 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Designer Series Paper. Scored in half on each side, which is 4 1/4, then rotated, then 5 1/2.

You will make a cut. Two folds on opposite ends. Fold. Flip. Adhere.

You know what, you’d better just look on Pinterest, Splitcoaststampers (where my instructions came from), Google or Stampin’ Connection for the exact way to create this. It’d be way easier.

Here are the two tags pulled out –

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners and to punch the hole in the center of the tag. What a cool punch that I forget about!

Today I’m designing for FUN and just playing with my paper and stamps!!

I loved our other sketch at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (we have two Design Teams, I’m on the other one) –

Challenge #350. Optional Theme : Smell the Goodies

And, it really paired so nicely with the Addicted to CAS Challenge #125 – Sweets!

I had this lovely idea . . . . . . .

I had a little bit of both these Designer Series Papers left. Plenty for a perfect card creation here! And, yes, I fussy cut those teeny tiny cupcakes!! One of the coffee cups is framelit cut, the other, fussy cut. I forgot about that framelit on the first one!

Let’s see what other fun I can get into now by just playing with my paper and stamps!! LOL!!

I took this a little personally. I made three projects translating some of my favorites in stamped card form.

This is a little booklet created for my stamp club 6 ladies. They each made one at the first class in July. They can jot down stamps they ‘need’.

Current love? Cold brew. Shared with a friend, my daughter.

I love flowers. Tulips more specifically and the color black.

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Shaped Cards

Happy funtastic creative Saturday!

You know it’s time for another round of creative ideas from Create with Connie and Mary!

Our theme this week is a Shaped Card (not rectangle or square).

I had to put my thinking cap on for this one. This is going to be a great hop!

I looked at some of the new framelits that we have. The Coffee Cups framelits looked like a winner for creating a ‘shaped card’.

Adorbs, right!?!?!?!?!?! It’s connected by the lid and/or the top of the cup.

I stamped two cups, one for the front, one for the inside. They are connected by the ‘plastic’ top that was folded.

The words were masked off and die cut to create the outside and inside sentiment bands.

I even created a cute little envelope for it –

Totally closed. Remember, this is a small card.

Untied and splayed open. The card shows nicely!

….and, SURPRISE! It holds a gift card too!

The envelope is actually one of Stampin’ Up’s envelopes from the Notecards & Envelope sets. I scored it. Removed the upper side flaps. Folded sides in. Punched 1/2 partial circle on the sides. Ran ribbon through. Done. . . . .in a nutshell anyway!

You’ll be soo excited to see what the other Design Team members created with our Shaped themed cards blog hop this week!

Open House – Coffee, Catalogs and In-Colors

This past weekend I had my Open House! It was SO much fun!

I started with a theme, coffee, and decided to go from there. I got coffee cups, pastries and even had a coffee themed gift bag –

The three make’n takes were just as fun too!

I chose the new Coffee Break Suite and designed two cards to make –

Such pretty cards!

I had precut all the pieces to make it go quicker. Stamping of the sentiment and assembly were the only things that needed to be done.

Both cards were well received!
