Thanks for joining our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features Easter / Spring Themed cards.
What a great theme!
It’s finally getting pretty, sun-shiny, and looking a lot like spring here in the Houston area.
Great inspiration for creating a spring card –
I just love tulips! They are one of my favorite flowers. And, they are perfect for Easter.
If you follow me on a regular basis, you know I love to use things in various ways beyond what they were designed for. No different here.
I am referring to the tulips. Any guesses as to what I used for them? Think about it.
I used the More Than Words stamp set for the Easter sentiment. I stamped that in Highland Heather, which is also what I used for card base.
I pulled out the lovely, Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for the stems and leaves.
I added the tulips on Dimensionals. That makes them really stand out.
Anymore thoughts on what I used to create the tulips??
Ok. Ok. I used the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch!
I punched two of the shapes for each tulip, then inserted each in a 1/2″ Circle Punch to remove the light base. I glued them together sort of askew and a sweet little tulip has been easily created!
I’d love to hear what you think about my card! It’s fun, bright, and springish.
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. We have lots of talent on our blog hop giving you some great ideas!
