Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

Fresh. Bright. Cheerful.

I went a summer-ish, sweet, thank you card –

I started with die cutting these beautiful flowers from the Magnolia Memory die set. I loved using both the inside pieces and the outer parts of the flowers creating this card. I haven’t seen these used much.

I used the Basket Weave strip down the center of the card, cutting a pretty decorative edge along the bottom. The flowers fit just above it nicely.

I added the sentiment from Magnolia Blooms, punched using the Timeless Label punch. I punched it twice to shorten it.

What do you think? Isn’t it pretty?

Easter Egg Easter Wishes

Hello Thursday!

Welcome to our newest challenge from Create with Connie and Mary –

Doesn’t this look like a fun one to try –

I enjoyed the challenge creating an Easter card –

I really had a lot of fun with this card.

Can you guess what I used to create my eggs? Think about it….

I used the Basket Weave for the background.

The stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration Coordination items called, More Than Words, (only available until March 31).

I created the ‘died Easter eggs’ using various patterns from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

Did you figure out what I used??

Ok, ok . . . .I used the Balloon Bouquet punch! I cut off the tie little part, keeping the overall shape. To me it looks like an egg now, not a balloon! Wouldn’t you agree?

I hope that I have inspired you to think outside the box with your Balloon Bouquet punch and create something!

Before we know it, Easter will be here – it’s about two weeks away!

Made any cards to send out yet? Perhaps, I will inspire you today!

Our challenge this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday is a layout challenge –

Challenge #360. Theme : Easter

I love this sketch! It’s fabulous! Nice, clean, bold blocks of color.

I went with a nontraditional Easter theme on my card –

It’s just adorable! Wouldn’t you agree?

I started out with my colors and then went to adding the embossing and placement on the card.

I cut the ‘bunnies’ from the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. I removed the ‘arms’ with a straight cut. And, I cut the ears a little deeper and longer. Stamped the face from the Foxy Friends and this is what I call a bunny!

I have a quick and cute card designed for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge –

Challenge #357. Optional Theme : Shaker Card

I made a simply sweet card –

Although it’s not a shaker card, it’s still delightful as can be!

The newest Sale-a-Bration embossing folder makes a really realistic looking pie! It was so fitting for the sketch!
