Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features cards for winter birthdays.
I really got stumped on this theme, not sure why. I ended up taking a whimsical approach to my card –
A (ugly) sweater, lol!
I started with this large stripe pattern from the Sunshine & Rainbows Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper. I used the Stamparatus to stamp each HAPPY BIRTHDAY within each color strip.
After stamping, I embossed the center portion using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. I used the Simply Scored for the ribbed detailing on the top and bottom of the card.
For the nifty pom poms, I headed to the kitchen with some Baker’s Twine –
I made pom poms by wrapping the twin around a fork, tying the center, the cutting the loops!
It just made for a cute, silly, whimsical, winter birthday card! What are your thoughts?
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Cindy Elam. I know they’ll have some great ideas for us!
