Blogging Friends Blog Hop – January 2021 – Sale-a-Bration Times C’mon

Happy January 1, 2021! Let’s start this year off with a bang blog hop! Or maybe two hops!!

Our theme is Sale-a-bration!

Sale-a-what? Every year during the first part of the year, Stampin’ Up! hosts a bonus promotion. For every $50 (USD) you spend, you get to pick a free specially designed item of stamp sets or Designer Series Papers!

This year, the special promotion will run twice this year for two months each, January & February and July & August. That means you have just a limited time to get these items! Our hop will introduce you to some of the products!

I was soo drawn to this Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper and Berry Blessings stamp set. I created two cards using a nifty fold –

Why is this nifty? Well two flaps open –

Cards are flipped, lol! But, you get the idea!

Each card has a base of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Layered with the folding card that is 4″ x 11″, scored at 3″ and 8 1/4″. I added Designer Series Paper to the outer panels and one card I stepped it up a bit adding a coveted piece of Whisper White on the inside. It is 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy with the berries (outside and inside) stamped in Pacific Point stamped off a time or two.

For both cards I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to frame the sentiment.

On both these cards I used a clear hook & loop dot to secure them closed.

Of course I stamped the whole panel and for whatever reason the Rich Razzleberry ink was not all the way dry and I smudged it a bit. Grrrrrrr, but I just kept it. Shows it is handmade, right?

I stamped the berries in Rich Razzleberry and colored with various blend to get the shading. I added the stamped leaves in Garden Green on this stepped up card.

As a bonus, the purple bow added just the right touch! Not sure where it came from, it was in my bow stash box! Lol!

These cards will be the beginning of my Fun Fold Fridays! A nice way to start the new year creating with new fold challenges for myself to share with you!
