It’s Wednesday! You know what that means? Another challenge to join up with.
The challenge this week is from Jean, a color challenge –
These are some really fun colors to work with, don’t you agree?
I was sort of drawn to the layout that inspired Jean. The ring. So, I sort of took that in my design –
Side-note. I must say, I was visually drawn to this Sale-a-Bration stamp. It’s wonderful! The words are lovely. But, when I got it in, I was a bit intimidated (yes, me intimidated) to play with it because it’s a really large stamp – so I hadn’t used it. Sigh.
Well, I went to my sideline, Sherri’s, stamp class this past weekend. This stamp was one we made a card with. My fear came back……until. Until I stamped with it this large stamp and it turned out perfect! Fear conquered. Almost.
This was the first try. I even stepped mine up and embossed the image! How risky was that? A risk worth taking, because look at how this just shines!
Of course, heat embossing is sometimes difficult to photograph. I think you get the idea. This is a gorgeous card isn’t it?
And, guess what? The zig zag lines were stamped without the use of a stamp-a-ma-jig too! Wood block I might add! So extra challenge here!
You should hop on over to Watercooler Wednesday and see what the others have created. And, join us in the challenge – it’s fun to play along!
I’d love to read what you think about my take on Jean’s fun colors.
