We Create – Cut it Out

Hello March!

The first day of the month always means a blog hop!

Our theme this month is anything ‘cut out’ by die cutting or fussy cutting. I have this covered!

I have included fussy-cutting (hand cutting of shapes), punching, decorative stitching, and die cutting –

So sweet, right?!?!

I love the softness of this card! I used a slew of great items here!

The two show stoppers are the Stitched With Whimsy Dies, a must have –

And, the Flowering Vine Dies in retiring Purple Posy –

Both are just as sweet as can be, especially when paired with the adorable bunny from the Springtime Joy stamp set –

The sentiment was punched using the new Double Oval Punch. It makes a nice sitting spot for the little bunny!

Lots of great products to think about and put on your must have list to create some wonderful projects with!

You might know what I’ve been playing with…..

The Sending Hearts January 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit!

Here is this wonderful kit –

These are just a couple of the items I’ve created the past few days.

I used my favorite layouts for both of these.

For this one, I fussy cut the mailbox from the kit. I added the Petal Pink card base, Poppy Parade layer, and the Pool Party layer.

This one I just added a Basic White base, Basic Black layer, Poppy Parade layer, and a Pool Party Layer. Everything else is from the kit!

I did color the hearts with a permanent marker. It added a nice *pop* on the card.

One both cards, the Pool Party layer was embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy dies. Soo sweet!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest color challenge –

I love to design with black and white! It is soo classic!

I added Daffodil Delight for this beauty –

See what I mean?

This card just *pops*! This is a favorite layout of mine as well!

I combined the Daffodil Delight with the True Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

All such wonderful patterns! So much you can do with them. Leave them as is, color them with markers, pencils, blends, or die cut the paper.

I used the Art Gallery stamp set for the sentiment stripe. The sentiments in this set are nice, clear, and a decent size.

Did you also notice my favorite Stitched With Whimsy dies? I couldn’t resist using these again with this layout either!

Creative Stampers Blog Hop – January Sale-a-bration

I created a simply sweet card using the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper and the Punch Party stamp set –

It really is a simple design. The Stitched With Whimsy Dies add a bit of flair to the pattern paper. I used these a lot!

I stamped the lace right on to the pattern paper before punching it out. The sentiment was stamped in Rococo Rose, then punched out. It has a lace stamped border as well, just stamped on Old Olive instead.

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New JJ Stamp Set

Welcome to our first Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop of 2021!

Our theme this week features our favorite new set from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog referred to as JJ!

I am using the Art Gallery stamp set –

I created several of these cards after I figured out my design. I used the Stamparatus for the four stamps in this card.

I used Petal Pink for the larger flower portion. The highlight was stamped in Rococo Rose. One the back of these two different Stamparatus plates were the stem/leaves, which I stamped in Old Olive and the sentiment in Soft Suede.

After the stamping was done, I used the Stitched With Whimsy Dies for the nice decorative dotted border around the stamping.

Such a pretty card!

Art Gallery Birthday

Welcome to our last Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge for 2020! You’ll have a week to join us though!

Here is our color challenge to bring in the new year –

I debated about playing with great, well-loved retiring merchandise or new stuff……

New stuff won! This is the Art Gallery Bundle –

I stamped each flower from the Art Gallery stamp set in the three colors.

The flowers are a two-step stamp process. For each of the larger portion of the flowers, I inked up my stamp and stamped on a scrap before actually stamping on the real card stock. The highlight portion of the flower is stamped in full ink.

After I stamped all the flowers, I used the Floral Gallery Dies to die cut the flowers out.

I placed them on a Whisper White / Basic White piece with the sentiment stamped on the lower corner.

On the card base, I used the new Stitched With Whimsy Dies to create a border around the popped up focal point.

A very easy and elegant birthday card!
