Stitched Be Mine Archives - Libby Fens, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

While the game was on, I was creating!

I ran across this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and was very inspired –

I hadn’t used this wonderful die set, Stitched Be Mine. It was the perfect set for this challenge for me –

I love this!!!!

And, NO stamping involved!

I started by die cutting three rows of hearts and deciding what base they looked best on. Purple Posy won! I then placed that panel on a Blushing Bride base.

I added a nice big vellum heart in the center. Also from the same set of dies. I played around with several different combinations of the inner heart and scallops. This combination was best in tying the colors together.

The Lovely Lipstick words are from the Well Written Dies.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I am so excited to be part of this blog hop on such a wonderful today!

Our theme this month is techniques. Quite a broad theme! I love it!

I combined a few things today creating this purrrfect card –

Ok, let’s see the card without paws!

Let’s start with the sentiment. I used two items here, a Stampin’ Write marker and two different stamps. I used Nine Lives for the ‘MEOW’ and the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sentimental Rose, for the “Happy thers Day’.

Both stamps are photopolymer. I literally colored the letters I wanted to use and stamped them. Believe me, I attempted this a few times, but this was actually my first attempt! And, it was the best! I used a new punch, Timeless Label to punch it out. (Available June 4th.)

I also used the Simply Scored to score the stripe pattern on the front of the card before using the Stitched Be Mine Dies for the heart.

My next technique was this nifty double fold on the card –

And, when that is opened –

So cute, right??

The outside is a regular card, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. The inner card I trimmed 1/4″ off of the two sides.

I just love this!

And, of course, you just have to see who inspired this meow-velous card –

Luna, my first fur baby. She looks sooo happy to be a part of this!

And, Cranston, aka, Mr. C that is a total ham!
