Pumpkin Spice with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards with pumpkins!

A pumpkin and spice! Well, a nice warm drink! This mug is from the Gift of Giving stamp set. I stamped it masking the holiday words and decided I’d rather it be patterned! So I covered it!

Added a pumpkin and some whip and made a sweet card!

The circle is from the Deckled Circles in the mini catalog. It is easy to overlook them. I feel they are a must have!

I placed the circle on this plaid pattern from the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper. And, actually, the pattern on the mug is also from that pack! Somehow I managed to free hand cut the mug shape – yep – I surprised myself on that one! I do love when pattern have multiple uses!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I decided to use these colors in a simply stamped way –

I just repeated the words in alternating colors down the page!

Then I was like, now what?

I decided since it was a fall card, to back it on Mossy Meadow. But it still needed something……

A nice big fall leaf die cut! I adhered the base flat ans used Dimensionals to raise the leaf to see the shadow of the Mossy Meadow beneath.

A double twine bow and and some Speckled Dots finished the card off nicely!

I am in love with this simple, but yet complex card. How about you?

Colors of Fall with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome stampers!

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is the colors of fall.

I decided to take a simple stamping approach to this lovely card –

And I think I used just about every color for fall I could think of!

I inked up each stamp and stamped it three times randomly across the page going lighter as I did. I just kept adding and adding again until I got to a point where I thought it was enough.

I got brave enough to add a stamped sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set in the lower corner as not to take away from all the gorgeous fall leaves.

I also stamped the word HELLO off a few times before stamping on the card. Somehow as it goes to the right, it is lighter. Not really sure how I accomplished that!

The word friend is nice and crisp to stand out!

This is a great layout to show off different Designer Series Papers!

The paper does all the work in this lovely fall card! I featured the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper for the pieces and the Oxidized Copper Specialty paper for the leaf.

This light and delicate sentiment is from the Fruitful Blessing stamp set.

I featured this card on my October Card Buffet and it was a total hit!

We Create – Gratitude & Gatherings

Happy November 1st!

Time for some inspration with the We Create team. Out theme today is Gratitude & Gatherings.

I design a cute, fun, and elegant card for this hop –

Right? A little of everything but it works!

I’ll refer to this as my ‘kitchen sink’ card as I used everything on this card it seemed!

To create this card, I started with a Countryside Corners Dies cut shape using the Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper. I just love this pattern!

Next, I cut a Deckled Rectangles shape, embossing it with the Countryside Blooms Embossing Folder as I thought the pattern was similar with the curls.

I stamped and punched my sentiment.

I was stumped at that point, so I made the sentiment into a pumpkin! I added a leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies and a ‘tendril’ from the Merry & Bright Dies.

Whew. Off to clean my desk after this! Lol!

I designed this card for my October Card Buffet –

I love everything about this card, the layout, the Designer Series Paper, and the versatility of creating two different cards! This is the other design option –

Just as lovely!

Now, at the class, some just loved the floral pattern soo much, they made the whole card with the florals layers – also very pretty. Going with all polka dot pattern would have created a masculine card. Also a great option!

This is a beautiful kit this month! Lots and lots of possibilities!

I whipped up a quick fun fold –

Now you can see the fun fold from the partial side view –

It is just as pretty as can be!

Directions –

card base 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 3″, 6″ 7 1/2″, 9″, 10″
accordion fold
cut vertical card front off
place card front on back panel, write inside greeting here or on back
middle panel gets single house
front panel gets double houses, sentiment

Spooky Forest with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is Halloween tree themed cards.

I went out on a limb for this –

I created a spooky scene combining the Bag of Bones Dies with the Aspen Tree Dies (remember these?). I just kept adding creepy stuff until I felt it was done! The moon behind the trees and the bones even glows in the dark!!!

This is a great color combination : Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path, and the Glow in The Dark paper! Of course th other colors add to the depth.

For added detail, I embossed the inner tombstone with the Timeworn Type as it really resembles an old headstone that the letters have since worn down.

I have to chuckle. Personally, I have two cats. I see one of them left their presence on my card and I just now noticed it. Convenient placement girls, convenient placement. I decided to just leave it. Let me know if you find it. Lol!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

I rotated the sketched and created this –

A super sweet – yes, pun intended – card! I am in love with this little gingerbread! It is from the Sending Cheer Bundle. I stamped and die cut it adding the face and the Cherry Cobbler stamped hearts.

I placed him on rectangles from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. Red and green are my go-to Christmas colors. They look so nice on the Soft Sea Foam base. It is such a bright and cheery color!

The Warm Wishes sentiment just goes with ‘cookies’! I had to use it here!

The added detail of the Cherry Cobbler die cut mini hearts really made the card stand out! They are soo tiny!

Crafty Colla’boo’rations Halloween Blog Hop

Hello stampin’ friends!

I am creating some last minute Halloween cards today! This one is for Crafty Collaborations –

It is just bootiful –

I simply combined some great products. I started with cutting the frame from the Gone Fishing Dies – I love to use this for anything but a tackle box, lol! I cut some ghosts and the word boo from the Glow in The Dark Specialty Paper and got to assembling!

Now, as you know, I said I used the Glow in the Dark Specialty Paper, here it is in action –

SOOOO COOOL!!!!

I bought this paper a while back. I tossed it on to my craft desk. Everytime I turned the light off at night, this paper was glowing! Calling me to use it! Well, today was the day and it did not disappoint!

This is the last of these challenges, CASing our own designers. Today we CAS Connie Babbert!

She has soo many great cards and wonderful layouts. I chose this card –

I loved these colors, trying to match to what is in the Mini catalog – somewhat of a challenge. Well, I made a great card, lol –

I used my favorite, Designer Series Paper, Garden Walk as my starting point. I pulled like colors from here to match her card, well, attempt to match.

The stamped and die cut gifts are also my favorite from this catalog. They are wonderful for any occasion!

The finishing touch was the Adhesive Backed Sequins to add a little sonethin somethin finishing off the card.

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I love this fall-like color combination!

I let the paper do most of the work here –

This is the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper. It is soo pretty! It is a favorite of mine and the colors were spot on for this challenge!

I opted for the Hexagon Happiness Bundle for the sentiment. This punch is also a favorite of mine, even before World Card Making Day this past Saturday!

I added the light touch of random hearts after the card was put together. That took it over the top giving it the added touch that the card needed. It is a nice alternative if you need a visual embellishment.

Happy O C T O B E R 1st!

Let’s kick this month off with a blog hop with We Create!

And our theme this month is anything related to Halloween!

This is perfect for this great Halloween card! I featured this last week at my September Card Buffet.

I started with the Them Bones Designer Series Paper. Using several of the patterns.

I stamped the Mr. Bones and decided to give him the beret, neck scarf, and mustache – nice as they are all on one stamp!

I used the Stylish Shapes to die cur Mr . Bones and the sentiment. Easy and fun!

Hello Stampers!

So happy to see you (again) today!

This time around it’s for the talented creators with Ink Stamp Share!

Our theme this month is Autumn! Perfect, as this is my FAVORITE time of the year!

I am also in love with this Pick of The Patch Bundle!

I paired it with the tackle box die from the Gone Fishing Dies! This is such a great die to use for other purposes. It helps to create such a cool layout!

The Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper has the fall feels too! It paired nicely with my vision here.

I featured this card at my September Card Buffet and it was a total hit. Well, except for all the hand cut pumpkins – those that didn’t punch using the punch, lol!

But, this card was totally worth all the effort!

The one I chose is a funny one because I am CASing the card she CASed me on! Lol! This is Cindy’s card –

I just love these colors, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive together. And, yes, I love this layout!

Here is what I did to make her card with current products –

I created this with the A Walk in The Forest Designer Series Paper as my starting point, adding the Merriest of Trees Bundle.

As a special touch, I added an embossed background using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. It added some elegance to the mix here!

Crafty Collaborations September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop – With Love & Gratitude

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop with lots of great alternative ideas using the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit, With Love & Gratitude.

Here are the contents of the kit –

The kit make 8 treat bags and 8 small cards.

I took one of the cards and one of the bags to make 2 cards. I only added additional card bases, and a different color ink, creating these –

I was inspired by a challenge put out by Stampin’ Up for September –

I love these type of sketches! Simple, to show off the products!

I created a vertical card using a Copper Clay card base –

And, a horizontal card using a Pecan Pie base –

With the leftover pieces, I made my annual Gratitude Journal too!

I don’t have the markers yet to make the dots. . . . . .

All the sentiments use Copper Clay ink. Which project is your favorite?
