15th Stamp-aversary with Stampin’ Up! Yes, I’ve been stamping as a hobbyist to a business for 15 years!

And, as I did for my 10th Anniversary, I had to make myself a card! Sadly, my upline doesn’t recognize achievements. But, that’s ok, I know how to celebrate myself along with my friends and family who are the best!

I’ll be adding a 2007 to this bracelet. I had to locate it, as it is retired! Those who know me, know my love for James Avery Jewelry! I’m so passionate about silver and papercrafting!

Aside from all that hoopla, I just want to sincerely thank all the people who have been with me throughout this journey, several since the beginning. I could not have made it this far without our friendships and love of stamping! I have made so many true friendships along the way and those are priceless.

Here is to another amazing 15 years!

Soon it will be Christmas. Then, in a flash, the new year!

So, it got me to thinking…….Today, is another Watercooler Wednesday challenge. And, here is our sketch –

I immediately though, New Year, and came up with this –

I started with a base of Early Espresso. A Silver Foil layer. Whisper White with the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (L O V E this stuff)!

WWC98, Frosted Medallions, Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Silver Foil, Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

And, of course my sentiment!!! The last added detail was coloring it in with a Wink of Stella Pen for a little added shimmer.

Perhaps I just might make these instead of holiday cards this year?????

Wacky Watercooler November Blog Hop

Ahhhhh November! Just about a month away from Christmas. And, the perfect time to participate in the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop!

I created this nice holiday decor item –

I went a little non-Christmas with this –

On the one side, the pages are preprinted to write in the date. On the inside cover I stamped a sentiment to remember and cherish special days.

The added page marker is a nice touch too! I just adhered the ribbon with Tear & Tape to inside back cover.

Pink Party Pop-Up Birthday

This is the last of the three post for today! And, the most important.

Today is my daughter’s birthday!

This silver doily really make this card! And, makes it hard to photograph! Ugh….but, you get the idea here.

Looking closely, you can see that the inside of the card matches the outside too!

I made this using the framelits and no stamping! Well, there is for the greeting, but you get what I mean.

I used the cool new Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate for the bottom dotted portion of the card. It’s flipped over to look silver. Pretty nifty. And, it’s on sale in the Special Deals!! So are the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits!!

I just love the repeated soft stamping of the birthday greeting. Matches the silver look on the bottom quite well! And, using the negative from the Red Foil Swirls, quite cool!

July Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Well, another month has passed! Time to receive lots of craftin’ goodness from me in a couple of posts for the day. This one is the Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

Our theme this month is S U M M E R !

For me, that’s a little hard! Our summers here are humid scorchers! And, unless you live in Texas, you’ll never quite understand just what I mean….

I created two cards that are bright and fun and remind me of summer. This first one goes without sayin’ –

Remember, I said scorcher! Gold foil Sunburst with the new Layering Circles Framelits. It’s a no-stampin’ card because, well, there’s no stampin’ here. The sentiment is from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits (currently, my favorite).

When I cut this, I placed the foil good side out to get a reversed burst here. I also glued down just the center and used Dimensionals on the edges for depth. Hard to photograph, but, it’s there.

Then, the other thing that comes to mind for summer is beautiful flowers. The real kind that require little hydration! So I used the same Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to create this –

I cut two out and over lapped them. I adhered then to Melon Mambo card stock and cut them out. It makes for a stunning flower using the same Layering Circles Framelits for the center. It’s simple. Bold. Elegant. Fun.

Celebrate Memorial Day, Paper Pumpkin

That’s right! How about creating a Memorial Day card using the May Paper Pumpkin kit?

Nice how the Real Red and Night of Navy show through, right? Even the simple base it quite nice! The pullout just adds a whole lot to the card!

I’m loving’ the versatility of these Swirly Scribbles Thinlits too! They just added that little addition of color the front needed along with the stars. You can order them on Wednesday, June 1st!!

The Paper Pumpkin kit came with 8 card bases like this, two different styles, to decorate along with a great stamp set too!

I just folded my card over, creased it really good and used 1/8th inch double-sided adhesive for the closing of my pocket card.

Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday

Challenge #265.

I couldn’t decide what direction I wanted to go with this layout. After playing around with a few different ideas, I really liked this design –

I don’t think I used this punch and cloud stamp in this way yet. I really like how it turned out!

It’s funny how you see others creating certain things, and sometimes you just have to try them out for yourself!

I started with the basic rectangle as per the sketch and Sunburst Framelit cut it. I stamped and punched my clouds. Nothing special. But, I also punched a line of Silver Foil for the ‘silver lining’ of the cloud, adhering it just under the cloud bottom. Pretty simple.

And, the sentiment from the same set, I stapled it to the card. I like stapling – it’s trendy! It adds a casual look. It’s an easy, no adhesive alternative!

Can You Birthday It?

Gettin’ back in the swing of things and I have a Card Buffet this weekend.

I’m still trying to design the cards, I know, a little behind. What can I say?

I love a lot of the new stuff from the Occasions Mini. I’m just in a creative funk about designing. I’ve used lots of challenges to nudge me along. Today is no different.

BTW, who doesn’t like a black and white birthday card? Over at Can You Case It, it’s their third birthday.

I used some fun elements here. Party Pop-Up Thinlits, (retired) Black Glimmer Paper, Silver Fancy Foil Vellum, and this Color Me Irresistible Specialty DSP that I’ve never even used! Together all these elements made for a very striking ‘black tie’ card!
