Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a Christmas gift card holder.

I so need some fresh ideas! How about you? I keep making the same style year after year.

I know it is sort of like reinventing the wheel when coming up with new gift card ideas.

This is a different take I haven’t seen before. Look how it looks when opened –

The left side is made into a pocket to slip in the gift card!

Somehow I accidentally sliced this up this card base beforehand trying to make another style card. I decided to try to salvage it! I think I did a pretty good job!

It is sliced up to the scoreline at 1 1/2″ and adhered at the top, side, and bottom using Tear & Tape. Simple!

I just love how this striped Most Wonderful Time Product Medley paper works so well with the Red & Green Foil Poinsettia. The Red Foil is a nice workable shade.

I added a sentiment to the card and I was done!

Happy Wednesday! Time for a midweek blog hop!

Our theme this month focuses on Christmas and our latest tutorial –

And to get you excited about the projects, here is a beautiful thank you card –

I used some very elegant items for this card, Champagne Foil and Plush Poinsettia Designer Series Paper. Other items came from the Poinsettia Place Suite –

The actual flower is die cut using the Poinsettia Dies in Basic Black. I added a Beaded Pearl to the center for more fanciness! I created a belly band to keep this thick card closed.

The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Poinsettia Petals. I punched it with the Label Me Fancy, then I added a Champagne Foil Label Me Lovely shaped, trimmed.

So elegant!

Thanks for joining me and my second of three hops for the day!

This one is with another great set of creators –

No theme, just showing anything we are working on.

I am in love with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle! I created a simple, elegant, quick card using it –

I die cut the poinsettia from the Red Velvet Card Stock and stacked them with a dimensional between the layers. The top is a Brushed Metallic flower center. So, so pretty!

Notice the beautiful embossed cards I used? These are the Gold Cards & Envelopes. They make this card so quick and easy! I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from the bundle in Just Jade.

Pretty. Pretty. Pretty.

Happy Saturday! Welcome to my second hop for the day. This time with –

We have no theme, just what we are working on!

I was working on a few Christmas card ideas!

This is a gorgeous beauty I’d say!

I started with this lovely, large, die cut Poinsettia using the Poinsettia Dies. Notice the inside detailing! I cut three sets of petals and stacked them with a Dimensional in between.

I placed them atop a piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. This is a really cool, funky shaped pattern.

I added a strip of embossed Mossy Meadow to ground the flower.

Added a sentiment from the coordinating Poinsettia Petals and I felt the card was complete!

What do you think? Pretty festive card I’d say!

Hello my Sunday friends!

Feeling the need to get lost in creating, I played with the Poinsettia Dies today –

These are another set of stunning dies that cut an outline and have an added die for a detailed inside!

I just got these dies and I was really excited to use them!

I started with a bright and fun poinsettia pattern from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series. I’m not really a pink person, but last year I got the most beautiful variegated pink and red poinsettias and this paper reminded me of them.

I added the detailed die cut poinsettia in Poppy Parade for some contrast to the pattern paper. The sentiment is from Banner Year in Black Memento.

Really a simple, very easy card that made me smile. How about you?
