Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards with textures and ribbons.

Hmm. This was challenged me, lol!

…but not for long, lol!

I started with dies cutting a butterfly using the Ombre 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper because this paper has a glittery texture.

The Brilliant Wings Dies provided the butterfly I used –

I added those to a lovely Polished Pink embossed panel using the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder –

That folder has really nice, deep texture.

The Polished Pink ribbon and sentiment are just the icing on the cake here!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest layout challenge –

I had many thought for this sketch, but decided to go with this –

My focal point was the new sentiment stamp set, Sunny Sentiments –

I used my Simply Scored to create ‘sun rays’ around the sentiment. A unique and additional use for your Simply Scored! I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment. Sure helps on these larger images!

These clouds –

For the clouds, I noticed the clouds in the Give It a Whirl Dies –

They were perfect for this card!

Lastly, I used the new Ombre Specialty Paper, the Mango Melody, yellowish one. It is like a glitter paper and soo pretty!

This card really made me smile!

Hopefully, it made to smile too!
